Stayed 2 nights in this motel - good sized room and bathroom, 250MB wifi access per stay. Comfortable bed. Kitchen was ok for cooking a basic meal. Mistmatched and old crockery. Owner did not seem to be onsite often but easily contactable by phone. Motel now for sale by the owners (as advertised on a big board at the entrance... More

Two weeks after we stayed there for one night I am struggling to recall much about the interior of this motel. It was a pleasant sort of ramshackle place with a blooming climbing rose out the window and a brick cobbled courtyard and it was nice to sit on the little table-and-chairs outside the door to our room and look... Excellent valued motel especially considering the unique location. Sure this is not luxury accomodation, just good basic good value. The motel is located handily close to the boardwalk which I walked to for sunrise. The hotel is quiet and reasonably well equipped. The owner was very friendly and when discovered I was a keen photographer gave me some handy local... More

The motel's website describes this as a "no frills accommodation." This is a good value for a budget motel. Our ensuite room was clean, quiet, comfortable, secure, and you could easily make a simple meal in its small kitchen, though we dined out. There was a hob, fridge, microwave, sink, dishes, cutlery. Parking was right in front for easy unloading... More

After we had dropped our companions at the Roteburn Trail Station it was only a short drive to this motel which we had chosen for its location and moderate rates and we were not disappointed. The one room unit had a very comfortable bed, enough space to sit and chat and have breakfast, a small but tidy bathroom and an inviting... This motel meets all the requirements for a quiet night after 4 days riding. Nothing special, but a comfortable bed, wifi and an easy walk to restaurants. Reasonable price and much quieter than Queenstown. It would have been ideal for the night before we started if we had known and perhaps the riding company should advertise it for that..

If you need a room for a hot shower after a trek or climb in this area then this is the spot for you. Facilities are basic and the whole building in dated but it is a safe haven for the weary tramper/climber. My mate and I had 2 or 3 nights here whilst suffering in the nearby mountains and... More

We booked this online the night before our arrival, and got there about 5. The host was friendly and efficient and we found the unit clean, the super king size bed very comfortable, and really appreciated the two lazy boy chairs provided for us. They have a very active policy of recycling and conservation with clear instructions and receptacles so... More

Glenorchy is way, way from the beat and rush of everyday life. This motel does a great job putting everyday life behind you. It is a very homey kind of place, with a small garden around the office area. Even though it's on the main drag, it is quiet. It's with in easy stroll of Glenorchy's town center as well... More

We arrived in Glenorchy after doing the Cascade Saddle and Rees track. After checking out a few other places in Glenorchy, which we found either too expensive or poor value for money, we found the Mt Earnslaw motel. It was just what we needed, our own space, clean and cosy, quiet and a comfortable bed with big fluffy pillows. Good... More
