We stayed at the Scot for 4 nights for a snow board trip as part of a 13 day trip in Hokkaido. If you're there for the skiing, the hotel really has a great location. It is perched right on top of the hill, on the slopes with easy access to the ski lifts and just a short board/ski away... more

We came to Niseko to ski and we were after a comfortable hotel in a great location. We weren;t disappointed with Niseko Scot for these reasons. If you are looking for a 5 star hotel getaway, or cable TV or room service then you'll be disappointed. Since our last stay, one year eralier, they have started to renovate some rooms into suites and also added a huge onsen wing. The onsen has both indoor and outdoor baths that are great to soak in after a day ski-ing the slopes. Sensational views from the outdoor baths over mt Yoti. The Scot Hotel, Niseko, charges like a five star hotel, but would struggle to rate 3 stars. The service is fine, but amenities are very second rate. It is run down, beds are hard, pillows the worst I've ever slept with, and decore is tired and run down. All in all, I will never go back to Niseko. more
