My wife and I stayed here in March 2015 for 10 days. It really suited us well. We really liked the fact that there was a full kitchen and dining area where you can do your own thing, cook your own meals and store your groceries as it was very expensive to eat out for every meal. I also liked... More

My wife and I stayed four days at Australia House and enjoyed the experience. Since we were older and most people there were young, we could have felt out of place, but we didn't, thanks to the welcoming and helpful attitudes. There were dorm style rooms but we booked a private room. the baths and toilets are shared, but that... More

I agree with many of the other comments - a great location and breakfast provided was great however there is very little more going on for this place. I agree that staff (and entrance way) were extremely difficult to find when first arriving. When I did find a staff member, she seemed inconvenienced by my arrival. The noise from the... More

My wife and I had 4 nights here in Jan 2015. The pros: location, good breakfast ,nice International spread of guests, a lift up to the bus stop( which owner Scott said is not a service which he usually provides) and a refund from Scott of about $100 per night after I told Scott that we were paying $250 for... I stayed here with three friends at the start of the year. Booked a door to door service with staff before flying in, but when I arrived at the Hirafu welcome centre the was no-one to meet me. I ended up calling them and they sent up a taxi. The lady I spoke to was very apologetic (The owners wife... More

I've travelled Europe so this was super in hostel standards, except I wasn't expecting one. I had hoped for something a little better, but over all it was good. This was our first trip to Niseko and we were beginners to snowboarding. When we arrived we didn't know where the reception area was, turns out there isn't one. We were... More

Is the perfect place to stay if you are in Niseko for skiing. We had a double room, very nice, clean and hot. The breakfast is served from 7 am which is good if you need go skiing. The staff is very helpful and kind. I totally suggest this place.

My friend and I stayed at the Australia House for 4 nights during our trip to Hokkaido and it was really great. It's right in the middle of everything. Super close walking distance to the mountain and also to restaurants and bars as well, the bus stop is also right down the road so you don't have to carry luggage... More

My boyfriend and I needed to book 3 nights somewhere in Niseko because our current hotel didn't have any room for us for these 3 days. We picked Australia House because it was very close to the slopes and seemed like a cozy place to stay. Cozy it is, you can share a big living room with other people and... More

Great location on the main road of town with access to shops and restaurants. The staff were great, very friendly and helpful. Accommodation clean and tidy. Breakfast was basic but did the job before heading onto the mountain.
