I just finished up a week at Kimamaya, and everything about the experience was exceptional. I have no doubt its the best place to stay in the area. The hotel and rooms have a wonderful feel and ambiance- warm, clean, and very comfortable. It has great amenities , including a relaxing spa and very convenient ski locker room and gear... More

Our group of 6 from London just returned from staying at the fantastic Kimamaya. Everything was perfectly set in place before our arrival: airport transfers, dinner reservations, etc. all thanks to Peter and Morino's impeccable organisation and dedication. Dinner at The Barn the first night was a cosy experience - food was excellent. The speedy service getting us to and... More

Love this boutique hotel! We are thrilled to have been able to stay at Kimamaya this year while in Hirafu. It's so comfortable, the management is wonderful, friendly and completely knowledgeable on all that is important. There is an internal door to the Barn by Odin restaurant which is sooo nice so you can easily walk through for breakfast. After... More

Peter and Morino delivered amazing service and took exceptional care. The hospitality and accommodations were fantastic and offered a relaxing and comfortable transition from jet lag into powder skiing. My only wish is that I could have stayed longer to ski more of the Hokkaido pow and relax in the lounge with a glass of Nikka. If you have one... More

We have just spent six days at Kimamaya and have to say it was the most amazing and stress free place we have stayed in. Morino and Pete and all the staff are more like friends who are there to help you out. The rooms are huge and very comfortable. The little extras like bathrobes, slippers make it very special.... My husband and myself stayed for 6 nights, early January. Very good facilities and exceptional personal service from Peter, Morino and Osaka - the driver. Nothing was too much trouble for them. A real pleasure to deal with. Good location, very central, easy walking distance to restaurants/shops etc, .Base and Ace Family pair lift. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We will be... More

I booked a Shiatsu massage at Kimamaya during my stay in a rental home in Niseko. It was by far the best massage I have ever had in my life. From the moment I walked in the front door I was warmly greeted by my name. Yoko took me to a private bath where I had a chance to soak... More

We have just come home after another fantastic stay at the Kimamaya. This wonderful hotel is run by two genuine, hard working and delightful people - Peter and Morino. And it's because of these amazing people and their team that the Kimamaya experience will exceed your expectations. Thank you Kimamaya. xxxx

Our family stayed there for 7 nights over the Xmas holidays (first time in Niseko). I'd echo the comments of the other reviews. Good location, walking distance to restaurants. You can also walk to the Ace Family Pair Lift, but if we were feeling tired on some days, we just called the hotel on the cell phone they gave us... More

Our family of three (two adults and one mid-teen) stayed in one of the loft rooms for 6 nights in December 2014. This is our first time staying at the Kimamaya - through a strong recommendation of a friend who also stayed at this boutique hotel. If we return to Niseko to ski, we will definitely come back. Location -... More
