This boutique hotel was such a fantastic base for our ski trip to Niseko. it is stylish, beautifully appointed and well located. The beds are luxurious and our Alpine 1 room was small but perfectly formed. Andrew and Aska were warm and wonderful hosts. They we're super helpful and arranged anything we wanted, such as dinner reservations, or advice prior... More

We hardly ever bother going back to places we have already stayed at. Regardless of how it was the first time, the excitement of discovering a new hotel usually trumps the good memories of a known one. We made an exception for Kimamaya earlier this month, and were not disappointed. Our first stay was very, very good. The second one,... More

I'll keep this one short but we loved Niseko so much and Kimamaya that a another trip in March was simply a must for us. The stay was again superb and Kimamaya remains our favourite hotel (lodge) anywhere. Christmas 2012 for a third visit? Yes please!

Kimamaya is the most wonderful place to stay. The beds are comfy, the rooms are spacious with lots of natural light and the common areas are wonderfully inviting. The property is beautiful in all respects and truly feels like a home away from home. If you want to stay in a property that evokes casual conversation with fellow guests while... More

After finding Kimamaya through Tripadvisor I am pleased to say that we decided to book our stay here and were not dissapointed. The lodge is beautiful and the rooms are clean, really comfortable and warm. Andrew and Asuka were excellent hosts and were always available to answer our questions, drop us off to go skiing or recommend restaurants and make... More

We enjoyed every day and the hotel was just perfect. The room we stayed in had everything we needed and we loved hanging out in the living room for drinking a glass of wine or champagne with the other guest. The location of the Kimamaya is not far from the lifts and close to good restaurants and great bars. Breakfast... More

For the second time we went to Kimamaya as our base for skiing Niseko. We had one of their loft rooms and three adults and two little kids fitted in comfortably. For a couple of days a cousin joined us, and that was OK as well. The hotel is a very friendly place, and even though it has steep staircases,... More

I spent 5 nights at Kimamaya in January. There aren't many *hotel* choices in Hirafu village, and Kimamaya is the ideal boutique hotel choice. Note that the hotel itself is small yet cozy. I booked my room 2 weeks prior to my trip so only got a smaller room, it'd be too crowded for two people but perfect if you're... More

This was one of our highlights in Niseko. The ambience is spectacular, the service and food the same. This is definitely great quality produce and food and the chef definitely knows what he/she is doing. You won't regret going here.

Our family, with 3 teenagers, have just returned from 11 wonderful nights at the Kimamaya. This beautiful boutique Lodge is perfect for a family holiday. It is large enough to have all the facilities you require yet small enough to feel like you're home. Even before we arrived we felt so welcome by Andrew and Asuka. They helped with bus... More
