Kimamaya felt like a second home. The rooms were extremely comfortable and were a very welcome sight after a long day on the slopes! Service is absolutely impeccable - Peter and Morino were the friendliest and most helpful hosts you could ask for - from the booking of restaurants, to ski hire, anything... They've thought of it all! We had... More

This review comes very late - we were here last December 2014, but fond memories of our time here still brings a smile! We were early in the season, and Peter and Morina (who really make you feel so welcome, like family) gave great suggestions on where to ski, and even recommended the best ski equipment shop - rates wise.... Arigato! Our time at the Kimamaya was bliss. All the other reviews sum it up - cozy, comfortable, and first class customer service. Probably our favorite vacation accommodations, ever. I hesitated to write a review because I don't want to have trouble booking if I'm ever fortunate enough to travel back! It's not slope side, and it wouldn't be great... More

This was my second stay at Kimamaya, the first being 4 years earlier. I tried to stay there three years ago, but alas they were already full. Returned this year to find that the hotel is as excellently maintained and operated as always. The room was clean and cosy, and room amenities are topped up regularly (tea, toiletries, water). There... More

The Kimamiya part of Odin Properties feels like home from the moment you open the door, take off your shoes and walk in. You are immediately welcomed by name by either Peter or Morino San who seem to know exactly when every guest will arrive. The hotel only has 9 rooms so getting to meet and know the other guests... We absolutely loved the Kimamaya!! The meaning of Kimamaya in Japanese is "be yourself" and it was very much like that it felt like home (a luxurious one at that) - from the emails sent prior from Peter and Morino assisting in absolutely everything to upon arrival where you feel like long lost relatives returning home and from there it... This was our second stay at kimamaya. We can back because we loved it the first time. And it was just as good if not better the second. Peter is a wonderful host generous with his time and good advice. We hope to book again for another stay in 2016.

The hotel is a wonderful oasis to return to after a full day of skiing. Slide into a pair of slippers, take a trip to one of the two private onsen, lounge by the communal fireplace with a glass of wine and one of their many books. Peter and Morino are so friendly and helpful with anything you might need.... More

We stayed at Kimamaya whilst on honeymoon. A beautiful design boutique hotel in walking distance to everything in Niseko - lifts, shops, restaurants. We were greeted in our with a bottle of bubbly with snow instead of ice bucket. The rooms are small but beautifully designed and very comfortable. There is tons of storage space for clothes and the room... More

Kimamaya Hotel is a wonderful hotel in Niseko. Beautifully designed, warm and cozy. Perfect for families or couples. We stayed in their very spacious loft suite. The upstairs loft has tatami mats and futons - our son loved it. The hotel itself has a lovely lounge area with a cozy fireplace and cafe bar. There is a great little room... More
