As a family of 5 with 3 children aged 11-15, we were looking for a budget homestay style lodge with a private bathroom and the option of cooking our own meals. This was not easy as lodge style usually means shared facilities. Finally found Ramat and it ticked all the boxes. Once there, we realised we had found a really... More

Really cosy with a family feel, very helpful staff but the location is a bit off. Locate a 20 min walk from town, you either have to walk or taxi after the shuttle bus stops at 8.30pm. The staff are helpful and when they can give lifts into town (outside of the morning run to the lifts). Its a nice... More

Finally got around a review for you guy s at Ramat --- had the BEST time here.... loved the warm welcome, lifts into town and the slopes pretty much whenever required, and the pool was great -.... not to mention the bar, and icicles and fresh pow outside the window to have with Baileys.... :) All the staff are FAB!... We stayed for 4 nights, rooms are spacious and bathrooms fine too. The staff here are great and extremely helpful. DVD player in room was awesome! Breakfast not so special, furntiture not really my style. But otherwise great value for Niseko! Cooking yourself is not such a great idea as the "supermarkets" in Niseko are quite limited in selection. More

Yes we are indeed the kind of picky spoiled Swiss who sniff at the quality of ski resorts, and we hardly ever return to the same place for vacation twice. But ever since we discovered the amazing powder paradise Niseko, we return there every year, and since ski season 2008/09 we are regulars at the Ramat Niseko (when they first... More

Me and 2 friends stayed at Ramat Niseko from 29 dec 2010 to 1 Jan 2011. The tripple room was perfect for us. 3 single beds. carpet is clean as new. good privacy, bathroom and wardrobe are separated. The living room and dining room upstair make us feel cozy at home. We feel safe eventhough the room was never lock... More

My family of 5, including 3 boys age 15, 17, and 20, just returned from a splendid ski vacation in Niseko, Hokkaido, Japan. It was our first time there. From Dec 22-26, 2010 we stayed at the Ramat Niseko lodge run by Alan and Susan Davis, with help from their son Michael and Susan’s brother Gary. Once the booking was... More

My wife and I stayed in this lodge for a week in Dec 2010 for snowboarding. Alan and Sue were so kindly to provide daily transportation to the slopes in the moring. Getting back to the lodge was also simple with the Grand Hirafu shuttle service. We love the kitchen that we can cook at night and will definitely stay... More

Ramat was a great base for the week we stayed at Niseko. Sue was great with the free Ramat shuttle bus to the slopes each morning. Only a 5min drive. Getting home was easy too with the village shuttle bus stop about 50m from front door. The rooms were clean and warm and good value for money. We had an... More

it's a self-service, no-frills type of ski lodge which is inconveniently located. Except the first 2 days where we were driven by Sue to the ski slopes, we had to rely on our own by public bus for the rest of the stay. Breakfast was the same everyday & not great. The worst thing was the bar above the bedrooms.... More
