We just came back from a 7-night stay at the hotel over the Easter school break. Overall, we are quite happy with our stay. Here are the pros and cons: Pros: 1. Ski in (and lots of stairs) and ski out plus designated locker for each room. There are very few hotel in Hirafu area where you can ski in... More

We just stayed a week at Prince Hirafutei, and we couldn't have had a better experience. The staff at this hotel is first class, they went out of their way to help us in every way they could. We especially are thankful for Mr. Tamura, what a gem of a man! The private onsen was just superb, the rooms were... More

About 5 minutes walk from Niseiko Welcome Centre, a bus terminus for all shuttle buses of Niseiko area, the hotel is absolutely convenient. Equally convenient, it locates at the Hirafu area, the one with most tracks and lifts among the four major ski area in Niseiko. Hotels that can ski in/ski out are always attractive and this is one of... More

Well the outlook of the hotel itself probably does not deserve 5 star, BUT the facilities, arcade for kids or teenager, Tennis table, Especially SUPERB ONSEN for only ¥800 per entry is to die for !! Oh did I mention indoor and OUTdoor Onsen overlooking the family ski slope !!! Top notch babe :) Tips bring ur own towel, or... More

The location at the bottom of Grand Hirafu cannot be beat, since it is on a quiet run right next to the lift. The views of the slopes from the private onsen in our room was a very priceless memory. The buffet was huge for dinner, which was wonderful after a day of tearing-it-up on the mountain (no need to... More

This hotel is in a top location. Not too far up the hill to have to trek for miles to get anywhere but also ski in ski out with the ace family lift a few meters downt the hill. Initially i was disappointed my first choice of hotel was booked out but im actually really glad it was now as... More

The good: + Literally on the slope of a run, full locker room underneath the hotel + The complimentary breakfast was terrible + There was an onsen in our room The bad: - Said onsen looked a bit dirty and questionable (not to mention very cramped--could barely fit two grown people in it) - Wifi was very patchy in-room -... Let's start with the positives: the location is unbeatable (on the Hirafu slopes below the main gondola); the onsen is incredible with a view of the slopes. However you should keep in mind this is a typical Japanese ski hotel - the rooms are tiny, you sleep on tatami mats and futons (not an issue for me but it is... More

It,s our 4th year staying at this hotel. Hotel is conveniently located near family run ski slope and also all the restaurants. Buffet breakfast has great selection of Western and Japanese meal. One English speaking hotel staff is always available. Private onsen facing ski slope in family room is fantastic.

We were really impressed with this hotel. Amazing location. Our room overlooked the ski slopes, the rooms were more spacious than expected. We enjoyed our private onsen and also went down to the public onsen nearly every evening and we would occasionally book a massage for after our onsen. Pure bliss. One night after night skiing we grabbed some beers... More
