We have visited Niseko many winters and stayed in Hirafu side for the last couple of visits. This lodge has been probably the nicest around. The location is unbeatable near the lifts and restaurants. The facilities are extremely clean. The breakfast is ok with both Japanese and Western choices. We stayed three weeks in the lodge and we had a... More

Spent a couple of weeks here in 2 time blocks in 2 rooms. Both rooms were traditional Japanese room with tatami beds. The first room was in the basement and the 2nd on the 1st floor. The 1st floor room had a view up the mountain the basement room had a view of a snowbank. The family that run the... More

My boyfriend and i just came back from a 10 day snowboarding trip to Japan. The 2nd half of our trip was spent at the Lodge Koropokkuru. This is a true Japanese Hostel experience!! We stayed in a traditional japanese room with tatami beds on the 1st floor. We were travelling with about 60 other people so we overwhelmed the... More

I booked through booking.com 6 months ago for one person in a Japanese tatami room and they give the latest date for calculation/changes. When I arrived I was told 'sorry, I didn't realise your booking was for one person until too late. I always email and tell solo travellers to cancel with booking.com and book directly with us for the... More

This is a youth hostel type place. Great value for money. There are western style and Japanese style rooms. Really nice onsen to use after skiing all day. Very nice location, can pretty much ski home. Outdated place but lots of fun

first of all, LOCATION. walk right up to the welcome center and lifts from here in minutes. this is not a fancy ski dad champagne douche 5 star hotel accommodation. this is a family ran lodge/motel-ish joint. it's an older building, but cleaner than anything i've ever seen in the Western world. if you're headed to Niseko to shred, then... Ahhh Lodge Korokkuru. Love it. Don't go there if you're expecting 5 star accommodation BUT - everything else makes up for it. Location in upper hirafu village is AWESOME. The family that run it - they're lovely. So authentic which is great. The cleaners are on a mission once everyone is out on the slopes - the place is spic... More

The first impression of the hotel is a bit old and need furnishing. Yet as the boss and staff are very very friendly, my impression has been vastly improved after moving in. They try their best to help out everything. The father boss is super helpful though he doesn't speak English while the son can speaks a bit English. As... More

The lodge is very near the ski lift and the lodge is value for money. The owners of the lodge are very nice people. They offered to pick us up from the Kutchan Station when we arrived. We were early but were told the rooms were ready for us! They helped in all ways to make our stay a memorable... More

Lodge Koropokkuru is run by a very nice and friendly Japanese family. It is so convenient and within 10 minutes walking distance to pretty much everything in the village such as two supermarkets, various restaurants, beautiful onsens and ski lifts...The store room for ski equipments was so safe and handy also. I loved my spacious Japanese room with comfortable tatami... More
