This hotel is a big surprise. Most enjoyable for a family. It is a home a way from home. The newer part of the hotel is the better part bit if you are travelling with pets they allow them in the older hotel. Very welcoming. Close to American Village ( walking distance). Easy parking, essential cooking facilities, reasonable rates and... More

I was referred to the Hamagawa by a long-term resident of Okinawa and I could not be happier. The quality staff and service for a condo-type hotel is outstanding, so much so, that I decided to make this my "home" for the duration of my contract here (up to 2 years). The location is very convenient to both local areas... More

Before reading this review will say that there are 2 different parts of this hotel/lodge. An older part where they put people with pets and a new area with out pets. With that being said here is the review: We stayed here for 2 weeks until we could move into our permanent home. We are military and were given this... More

We were here while waiting for our house to be ready to move in to. They are pet-friendly with no pet fees, so that was nice. Our place was a little 3 bedroom unit. The rooms were adequately sized, lots of closet space (for those staying long-term). Full fridge, range (no oven), microwave, excellent A/C and internet, a washer in... More

Very friendly staff. Rooms very clean. Good internet. Large refrigerator and different softness to the beds so you could choose what hardness of ma tress you preferred. Also easy walking distance to the American village and a variety of restaurants. Very recommended. Pool was not working but you could walk to the water.

My husband is in Okinawa on business for an extended stay. I'm here for only 10 days but I love this hotel. Our unit is a three bedroom with two terraces, a small kitchen and comfortable living space. Well furnished and everything works.

My experience at Hamagawa lodge was great. First, the Location. Only a second walk and you'll find Korean BBQ, Chinese or Italian restaurant, convenience store, and Grocery shop. Right by the Bus stop. Very close to the ocean, you can walk by the seawall hearing sound of wave. About 15min walk to the "Mihama American Villege", which is huge shopping... More

We were looking for an inexpensive hotel for 2 days of diving in Okinawa. Chatan-cho seemed like a good location because of the great offshore diving to see coral, easy access to Naha / airport and Kerama Islands. There are a couple of shopping centers in the area as well, with restaurants and grocery stores (American Village and Hamby Town).... More
