Our one night stay at Ron's was great. Thanks Ron. Great view, nice people fantastic breakfast. If I ever go to Scourie again I sure will stay at Stonechats Croft B&B. The scrambled eggs from Ron's own chickens are a dream!

What can we say!! Ron , what a chap, full of wit, charm and interesting life stories. Our room was lovely , best nights sleep I had all trip. The views were out of this world took your breath away. Excellent breakfast with added entertainment ( think quiz ) A nice touch for motorcyclists is Ron takes you down to... More

There are no words to describe the intense feeling you get as you attempt to survey the vista that is before your very eyes from Stonechats croft, because somehow you just can't take in its gob smacking beauty and grandeur. No matter how long you peer out into the spectacular view the mind is just not capable of comprehending it... More

Visited Stonechats for the second summer in succession. Just as good as last year. Great place, wonderful views. Feels like a home from home. Ideal touring location. Thanks for another great week Ron & Elane!

We stayed here last week and immediately felt safe and at home. The views are spectacular and accessible. You just put on your boots and go walking taking in the fresh air. My night's sleep was peaceful and uninterrupted . The room was spotlessly clean and the beds had pretty cotton linen. Fresh flowers were placed in the window. There... More

We arrived wet, tired and with a broken bike. Ron sorted us out. He introduced us to his dog, hens and hand reared lamb and welcomed us into his beautifully kept croft. He gave us a lift to the pub in the evening and the following morning served the best breakfast we had on our long 3 week cycle ride, with... More

This is an amazing location & we wished that we could have stayed for much longer than 1 night, it is such a pity that we only found out about Ron's accommodation from a local when we arrived there late in the afternoon. We had a cabin for 4 people which is separate from the B&B with "trillion dollar views",... More

Ron is a wonderfully enthusiastic host and his breakfasts are delicious. The view from the bedrooms is staggering. We spent two nights in idyllic weather wandering the north west coast and Ron's B&B is ideal for reaching everything in the area and a haven of beautiful bird song and bleating lambs. Nearby Handa Island is a spectacular bird spotting reserve... More

Such a beautiful location, looking out over Badcall Bay, and surrounding mountains. Sharing his knowledge of the area, Ron made my stay the highlight of a month long visit to Scotland. His homemade breakfasts with home made sausage and eggs from his hens were out of this world! Fantastic coastal walks and mountain hiking, and endless photo possibilities! A wonderful... More

Everything was perfect. It was the situation- isolated, quiet and beautiful- that made us decide to make this home for a week and thanks to Ron's local knowledge we feel we did the area justice. Loved Handa Island and fresh salmon . Great relaxing spot. Very well run.
