A wonderful old cloister building on top of the cliffs. Magnificent view, cosy rooms, delightful breakfast, and very hospitable hosts. A perfect place for walks in a pristine Scottish highland environment or a day at a beautiful sandy beach. Luved it.

My wife and I had our second stay at Cloisters and stayed for 2 nights. We both agreed that we would have loved to stay longer. Bob and Audrey were extremely welcoming and their lovely home overlooks The Kyle of Tongue and the sea. We had lovely breakfasts by the window overlooking the Rabbit Islands and during our "free" day... More

We satyed just the one night with our dog. This was our second visit. Good location and all round B & B. Brekfast was also good and pleanty of local produce. The North of Scotland is a gem most people have not found yet.

Stayed 2 nights June 21/22 this year, would have been nice to stay longer. Great hosts, found towns we had been in in the past. Wonderful scenery and long, long daylight. Easy walk to the local hotel/pub for dinner.

We arrived on a hellishly cold and windy day on the north coast of Scotland but we received a warm welcome from Bob. We'd managed to book through the tourist centre in Durness and then made our way to Talmine. We had a lovely dinner at the local Craggan Hotel and then another fabulous meal, this time breakfast, served by... More

This was our second stay at the Cloisters, we had been there in 2002 and we were very happy with our decision to return. The place is clean and comfortable with excellent breakfast foods prepared daily. The B & B is purpose built with the rooms in a separate building that look architecturally similar to the main building which had... More

Cloisters were warmly recommended by friends and we found that they had not exaggerated at all. It is a peaceful place with wonderful hosts. We enjoyed the quietness of the room that is a result of the experience of Bob as architect who designed the guest house himself. In addition the weather was fine so we could take a walk... More
