We stayed at Mancotta twice while we were in Assam. On both occasions it was a perfect stay. We were in the charming, huge upstairs room with its own balcony. The staff were extremely attentive and helpful. Breakfast was taken on the lovely balcony overlooking the tea estate.. Despite being quite close to the bustle of Dibrugarh it was a... More

I only stayed here for one night, but after a tour in Arunachal Pradesh, this was luxury in a wonderful building: an enormous room/bathroom, good food and excellent staff. All my laundry was beautifully done overnight, ready for packing before I left at 11 o'clock the next morning.

Mancotta is a beautifully building, sensitively converted to a very special retreat for those looking for something genuinely different. Situated in a tea garden, the bungalow is an ideal base for exploring the area as well offering a taste of life in days gone by. Our room was on the ground floor and was spacious, comfortable and quiet save for... More

A old tea planter's home, this is a charming place to stay. Just make sure to take one of rooms upstairs; they have all the character and are only a little more expensive than the rather dull rooms on the ground floor. The house is situated in the middle of the tea gardens. Take a tour - it's fascinating to... More

It's a lovely place and done up really nicely. We stayed in the rooms in the ground floor and they were really nice and comfortable. The staff was also very helpful and obliging. They just need to install a few air circulators as otherwise its impossible to sit out side during the day, the heat is stifling. And at a... More

We stayed for three nights at the end of our trip to Assam. The room was very large with a balcony to sit on. Food was good and enjoyable. As we stayed in February there was no real activity on the plantation, but we have seen this elsewhere.

We arrived very tired and were given a lovely room. No sooner had we unpacked than we told that we had the wrong room and that we would have to move . The manager was very insistent and after considerale pressure we concurred to move to the downstairs room. Unfortunately there was no grading on our voucher [All rooms are... More

Stayed there for a few nights in one of the two rooms upstairs and truly loved it. Beautiful and serene place hidden in the middle of a tea estate. Nice collection of books in the library. Very good food (important since the place is remote and away from any restaurants) but clearly overpriced in my opinion (at least compared to... More
