Remembering the old days in this superb tea plantation, lovely suite, For the restaurant we have been served in the dining room (private for us) typical assamese menu it was delicious and without chilly for us. The breakfast on the terrace was lovely and so quiet just disturbed by the birds joining us. twe have fully appreciate the service and... More

We stayed for three nights at the end of our trip to Assam. The room was very large with a balcony to sit on. Food was good and enjoyable. As we stayed in February there was no real activity on the plantation, but we have seen this elsewhere.

We arrived very tired and were given a lovely room. No sooner had we unpacked than we told that we had the wrong room and that we would have to move . The manager was very insistent and after considerale pressure we concurred to move to the downstairs room. Unfortunately there was no grading on our voucher [All rooms are... More

Firstly we sincerely apologise for this inconvenience. The room booked and allotted to you i.e Standard AC Twin Bedded room in the Ground Floor was as per original booking and the same was clearly communicated to your agent while confirming the room. Similarly rates for Lunch/Dinner was also pre-informed to your agent. More

Stayed there for a few nights in one of the two rooms upstairs and truly loved it. Beautiful and serene place hidden in the middle of a tea estate. Nice collection of books in the library. Very good food (important since the place is remote and away from any restaurants) but clearly overpriced in my opinion (at least compared to... More

I was in my first time to Assam last week. I was so surprised at this beautiful and excellent bungalow. The stuff were kind, and their afternoon tea was graceful. Of course, dinner and breakfast were very delicious as well. This Bungalow is already on my "must visit again" list, so I would like to take this chance to recommend... More

Like others who had travelled up the Brahmaputra River, we ended here before our return home and stayed three nights. The first day we needed the rest and did absolutely nothing except wander around the well-tended garden, enjoy the meals and drink a lot of tea. A dance troupe performed some Assamese dances for an audience of four on the... More

What a delightful and relaxing place the Mancotta Chang Bungulow is. Originally built as one of the manager's bungalow for the extensive tea plantations that surround it, it is now a great place to stay if you are travelling in the area and especially if you have an interest in tea. The early morning stroll through the tea fields just... More

My wife and I had a wonderful stay, were very well looked after and the food was excellent. One day we went on the boat trip down (up?) the Bramaputra which we would highly recommend. But having travelled in India a lot we think everything is overpriced, the rooms, especially the food and the boat ride. We would certainly recommend... More

This is the third time I ve stayed at this boutique Hotel . Fabulous. Every time I'm left wishing that I had planned a longer stay. Aesthetically tastefully done. Tea plantations as far as the eye can see . No sound of traffic . Very comfortable rooms, common areas and very good food. Breakfast from the verandah of the first... More
