I have visited here on numerous occasions as my Mum lives in Lutterworth. I don't think I have ever had a bad meal here. The good isn't a la carte but if you want good pub grub this is the place to come. It's good value for money and they are always very welcoming especially the landlady and her Daughter!!!... More

First off, the manageress was really friendly. The meal we had on Friday night was lovely, very good value for money (even if the fish pie had been reheated in the microwave! but not to the detrement ofthe flavour) A decent selection of hand pulled ales which kept my other half happy as well as a good wine list. The... More

We booked this last minute and it was dreadful The sheets were not changed. I woke up with bites on my legs. The wardrobe had no doors. Every time someone shut a door my door shook. The carpets and room need a thorough deep clean. We needed to leave early and there was nowhere to post the keys.

My wife and I had dinner here last week. First impressions not too bad but a little cold . Cold in temperature and mode. The menu was varied and not overly priced. I opted for the mixed grill which all-though was nice was over cooked to my request but never the less quite appealing to the eye. My wife went... More

I came to the Shambles today for lunch with my partner, and I was shocked to find while enjoying my meal, that a woman who I presume was a manager, was being very aggressive to a young girl also eating at the Shambles. From what I can gather, she also was an employee, as was a member of her family,... More

We decided to have lunch here a few days ago - having read the trip adviser reviews we weren't too sure but a local shop encouraged us to give it a try. There was plenty of choice on the menu plus a specials board and although it was quiet when we arrived (we were quite early) a number of others... More

When I checked into this place yesterday afternoon I was pleased that I had a place to stay so close to the wedding venue over the road where I was spending the day. I'd opted for an independent place over a travelodge type alternative but now wish I hadn't I fetched my things from the car and on arrival at... More

We were passing through Lutterworth the other day and needed to get something to eat. I'd been past the Shambles loads of times but had not been in so we thought we'd give it a go. We had some nice food and I had a couple of nice beers, I'll make sure I remember it for the next time I'm... More

I went to the Shambles yesterday for an afternoon drink, and was met with a miserable bar tender, she looked unhappy at best, and i was greeted with a simple 'what do you want ' i have been before and have always been greeted with a smile and excellent service, however this most recent experience has left me questioning the... I didnt stay but Lynda my colleague did. Lynda booked a room at a great price. The room was clean and tidy with all items you would need. Basic but for 40.00 a night, great value and clean, as a female alone she was happy to stay, feeling safe and secure. Well thought out with a staircase by the car... More
