A family run hotel in a beautiful historic building with very attentive staff. I've stayed here 3 or 4 times in the past few years and would certainly stay again. I'm particularly keen on the four poster room. The bar is very good, with a selection of real ales and an interesting wine list.

I have stayed at The Greyhound many times and am always impressed by the staff's eagerness to ensure that my stay is comfortable; Roz and Robbie were particularly attentive and professional. My room was large and beautiful with an imposing 4-poster bed that was very impressive. The bathroom was well stocked with towels and a wide range of toiletries. The... More

A lovely, characterful, family run hotel. The room was small but adequate and with all the necessary amenities- a good supply of tea, coffee and biscuits, wifi etc. The shower didn't look too promising (although clean) but was fast and hot. It came with quality bath and shower gel, shampoo etc and the hand cream was a nice touch. The... More

We stopped off at The Greyhound for one night en route from Devon to Pontefract in February. We chose the Inn because it was dog-friendly and welcoming of our elderly collie Soxx, in a town that we knew and somewhere with good food to host a large group of friends. From the moment we booked we had efficient, friendly and... More

The Greyhound is a wonderful place full of charm and character. Great food, friendly service and good VFM. Makes a welcome change from corporate hotels - wish I worked in this area more! Thoroughly recommend.

My wife stayed here to have an issue during the night with a loud tv in an adjacent room (empty) turning on. When called reception and then went down, she found the place deserted with no one available / placed locked up/ no emergency numbers. I thought it was law to have someone on site for a licence building. Not... More

A family gathering, for Sunday lunch. Late January but you could see how attractive the courtyard would be during the warmer months. The bar was cosy with a good selection of real ales. Sunday lunch is a carvery at The Greyhound ( a la carte at all other times). Sirloin of Beef, Loin of Pork, an Roast Turkey were on... More

Just returned from a Sunday Special at the Greyhound, Lutterworth. We were meeting some friends for a Sunday Lunch and then stay overnight. The lunch was excellent and as our friend has Coeliac Disease we were astounded at the choice of food available and the knowledge of the Chef. He was very professional and very helpful, even came over to... More

What can we say apart from Fantastic venue for our Wedding. The place is full of charm, style and ambiance with staff that are simply brilliant. The owner showed us around a few months before and took us to the lovely Town hall over the road and we were swept away by the place and on our wedding day it... More
