This is just such a fantastic place to visit with your dog. We visited with a big family group and had the Villa and Igloo cottages, both of which were just terrific. Each cottage has a huge, super secure backyard for the dogs to play in as well as secure gates on the verandah, furniture covers, mats, bowls and homemade... More

My partner and i wanted three days near Lorne for a nice time away together. We found Countrywide Cottages and booked because it looked so special. Only after booking did we get a little nervous about it being 25 minutes from Lorne. We held the booking rather than cancel and WOW we are so glad that we did. It is... More

We stayed in the 2 bedroom Ferny Reach with our dog during 6/6/14-9/6/14. Our dog was well accommodated with doggy treats, a bed, water and food bowls, and most importantly for us, a large, secure, enclosed backyard for him to explore. We especially loved the walking track around the property, where we took him for daily walks while picking up... More

It's a tough combination of requirements but Countrywide Cottages are doing it well! My husband has quadriplegia & in a manual wheelchair & we have a 2 year old Border Collie. The cottages are on a beautiful property. I have never seen our dog as happy as he was on this holiday! He swam in the dam, & ran &... More

Wow!! What an amazing place Di has here. From the serene, relaxed setting in amongst the gum trees and bracken fern to the well-equipped and comfortable accommodation, to the well-marked trails for us and our boy to explore, this place has everything you could desire for a great pet-friendly holiday. We stayed for four nights in March 2014 and really... More

Hello there Roger....shame on me!! I must have missed your review somehow...thank you so much for posting it so long ago! My apologies. I am so pleased you, Christine and Buddy enjoyed your time with us so well....there is little excuse for lack of excersize while you are here - except of course, if you decide that that fire inside... What an amazing place to stay - this is truly DOG FRIENDLY! Huge securely fenced yards, amazing bush walks, a dam for the dogs to swim in and beautifully designed cottages. I've stayed in both Ferny Reach and Igloo - both very different and comfortable. This place is paradise and a must visit. I can't wait to come back and... More

Katie...what a wonderful review!! Thank you so much....I am excited to see the results of your Sleep and Smile pet photography taken here during your first stay. Caitlin at Ragamuffin Pet Photography has such an amazing talent in getting the most gorgeous, natural shots of peoples pets and the setting here in the bush really works well I think. I... More

Thanks Di for a great hideaway. Stayed in Igloo cottage which was wheelchair accessible. Hubby was very happy about how spacious the cottage was. He had no problems moving around in his electric wheelchair. Shower, toilet good access. Only problem he had was that he couldn't use the basin due to the cupboard. Felt like I was lost in the... Our 2 night stay at Countrywide Cottages was an unexpected surprise. Di what an excellent job you & your team have done to create a space that allows your guests to just relax & unwind by way of long walks through the lush Otway Forest, or for the little ones (& us older ones), collecting fresh free range eggs from... Thank you Di we had a fantastic time! One of the most relaxing holidays we have ever had. The peace of mind of having our fur babies right outside was invaluable.
