We stayed in this hotel at the weekend of July 19th, the rooms were beautifully decorated and very clean, however ours was unbearably hot! After little sleep due to the heat, once we were up we couldn't wait to get out of the room. There were no fans even though we asked for one and the window only opened a... More

Stayed for 1 night and really enjoyed my stay. Room was big clean and nicely equipped, The bathroom was impeccably clean. Nice choice of breakfast and dinners. Nice local ales and decent prices. Would definitely stay again.

Great place to eat and drink, starters and mains did not leave any room for the lovely dessert menu. The rib eye steak served on the bone was cooked to perfection and tasted superb. Would recommend the food and drinks on offer to anyone. The six of us all had a great night. Thanks

Booked here to visit Stafford race course. Stayed one night. Lovely place. Great, interesting and quirky menu... Evening food doesn't quite live up but it's lunch menu is fantastic. Rooms are lovely if somewhat noisy and a little hot!

Had a very pleasant stay for a family wedding nearby and the location was great - food was a little odd with slightly tasteless lunches and undercooked breakfasts, but still good. Comfortable beds but overheated rooms and no fans. Noisy as on a main road, but overall a pleasant stay (I am focusing on the negatives)

Stopped on Business, fantastic cask ales (5 to choose from) and really good food in the restaurant. The breakfast the morning after was scrumptious too. The bedroom on the top floor was fine, not massive but fine for one (room was only booked that day so lucky to get as the hotel looked full). Not too far from the M6,... More

A very convenient situation, not far from the M6, with several sights of interest nearby. Room was well furnished and comfortable, with tea making facilities, iron and hairdryer. Evening meal and breakfast were very good, so it all made for a good one night stay.

The pub/hotel is located on a busy road and Room 2 was very noisy with traffic outside. The waitresses serving food in the evening had an attitude with one trying to plonk my steak into my newspaper I had placed in front of me and then had a strop when I suggested this was not appropriate. Food itself and breakfast... More

Thank you for your positive comments about the food and breakfast. As we are located on a busy road we have don everything we can in terms of sound proofing from road traffic noise but there will be some residual noise. Only three of the ten rooms are located on the main road so if you stay again please ask... More
