We stayed there one night during our road trip around west coast in may 2014. We enjoyed the stay, building is beautiful, old but kept in good shape, rooms were clean, sufficient in size with nice view from the window. The only problem was that there was no heating in the room and we were cold at night. Shared bathroom... More

My husband and I stayed just one night as the first night on a cycling tour during the 3rd week of August 2014. We seemed to be the only guests in the hotel! The owner was helpful and showed us where we could stow our bikes. Our first impression of the hotel was that it was very grand and historic.... More

This is a very nice, family run hotel with relaxed atmosphere. It has just recently been tastefully renovated. Clean rooms, a balcony for the morning coffee, and a garden for the evening white wine. Location is by the port, so you can be lucky and pick up some fresh shrimps, or just enjoy the boat traffic and fjord view. The... More

We spent two nights there during a film project. The little harbour looks so nice. From there a ferry goes straight to Bergen. Watch my video to see more! https://vimeo.com/100634392 Whole story: I spent a week filming in the beautiful country Norway. We startet our tour in the harbour of Stavanger, where we arrived with our ferry. After 6 hours... More

Rosendal is a wonderful place to visit, and the Rosendal Turisthotell is probably the best place to stay the night. This is an old hotel but has recently been redecorated mixing 19th century decadent elegance with modern design. The front porch is perfect for a morning or afternoon cup of tea, watching life on the main street and in the... More

Beautifully updated hotel. Wonderful, comfortable rooms with nice design touches. The bathrooms, even though they're shared, are some of the nicest we've had during our travels. We stayed during the off-season, so we were the only ones at the hotel, but the innkeepers were fantastically welcoming and made us feel completely at home. Superb breakfast of breads, meats, cheeses, juice,... More

We stayed at the hotel for 2 days a whole group together. Location is spectacular with the mountains and fjord view. The food is very good with a lot of locally produced stuff. You can buy jam with you. The rooms don't have seperate bathrooms, but the shared ones are of decent standard and clean.

This is quite far from being a modern hotel. It's an old building, and the rooms are very simple. Well, my was. I had a economy room, with not more than two beds inside. And a sink with faucet. Toilets and bathrooms are shared (but I understood that some rooms had bathroom). I needed my earplugs - since there's no... More

We stayed here 1 night on our way from Oslo to Stavanger. We arrived late and left shortly after a late breakfast. I was concerned about the shared bath but it turned out to be modern, and clean. No wait at all. There were 2 bathrooms near our double room and a separate room of just a toilet as well.... More

This Hotel with common sanitary facilities is located in a recently remade 18th century building. The renovation was made in a very good manner, combining the authenticity of such a building with a modern design. The beds were comfortable. The room's size is ok too. The walls are a bit thin, so you hear a lot of what is going... More
