I stayed here for 4 nights during a course. What can you say? Even during the fall Rosendal is a beautiful and peaceful place. Very good service, the food was excellent and they had good vegetarian alternatives. The nature is spectacular.

A very nice hotel situated in a beautiful area where you can really see the nature. A magnificent view over the fjord at sunset is a must. Location is stunning. The staff is really friendly and do their utmost for you to enjoy your stay. The only thing to complain about was that you couldn´t adjust the heat in the... More

Rosendal is about 2 hours by car from my hometown Bergen and one of the most beautiful places on the west part of Norway surrounded by majestic mountains. Rosendal Fjordhotel is the best hotel in this area. The room my wife and I got (room no. 252) had a large bay windows affording beautiful views of the Hardangerfjord (see my... More

Travelled to Rosendal on buisness mid week. Arrived later (1am) after a long drive the first night and luckily the reception was open and manned. Breakfast was only OK with a very limited hot food selection. The location is stunning and relaxing located on the outside of town. I did not ask the room rate on booking so was surprised... More

Dinner with family at Fjordhotel in Rosendal, we booked our table at 20.00 but didn't eat before 22.00. Strange since the restaurant was filled less than 25% and had ample staff. Friendly waitresses but lacking oversight, had to order drinks at the bar when seated outside,we were totally overlooked, had to order twice before getting meal/drinks. But worst of all... More

I have had two seperate visits to this hotel, and on both occasions the stay was pleasant. The place is lovely and warm ( as both my visits were over the winter this was important !). the rooms are spotlessly clean and beds are very comfortable indeed. The restaurant overlooks the fjord and has huge picture windows, so you can... More

We arranged a meeting/ conferance for 45 people. Everything was professionally handeld. The staff was very friendly and helpfull. The food very good. The conferance room spacy and Nice. The best thing is the location of the hotel. Right by the sea with a breath taking scenery. Highly recommended!

Nice quiet hotel near Hardanger. Hotel is located close to the sea. Rooms are of average standard. Usually one get rooms with inland view- some of them with obstructed view. Rooms are rather simple equipped - bathrooms are from the -70ties and -80ties but are still functioning OK. The elevator is giving out some strange noises but will eventually take... More

We stayed here for two nights in November and very pleasant it was too. Rosendal is a small town and the whole set up is geared towards tourism. As it was at the end of the season you may expect some snags, or fewer staff in the hotel, but there were no obvious problems. Check in and out was straightforward... More
