We booked our dream wedding at Surfside Inn. It was amazing. We booked the date about a month in advance. We stayed here in 2009 for valentines day and we decided to bring a small group of friends and our children to witness our marriage at this elegant Victorian Inn. We had 11 guests for an amazing meal, and basically... More

Surfside Inn was our excellent base for touring Halifax, Peggy's Cove, Mahone Bay and Lunenburg. We had easy access to both scenic and major highway routes. Both rooms had en suite bathrooms and comfortable beds. Included breakfast was basic yogurt, fruit, granola, juice and coffee or tea. We had dinner here our first night just for the convenience after a... More

My wife and I stayed for two nights at the Surfside Inn and appreciated the friendly staff, the clean room, and the step back in time. We truly enjoyed the historical furnishings in this home that was built in the late 19th century. The stairs up to the rooms could be an issue for some with heavy suitcases but there... More

Although there is a ramp as well as stairs to get to the front door, the stairs to the rooms is rather steep and not so good for non-climbers. We had the Hideaway Suite which featured a two-person jacuzzi as well as a stand-up shower. We had a little sitting area that was comfortable for watching TV or reading. Our... More

Stayed here for a couple nights at the end of July 2011. Family run place. Nice people and they try hard to keep thier guests happy. The Inn is a "vintage" property that has a lot of charm and character. While the walls are not all straight it just adds to the rustic turn of the century atmosphere. Our bed... More

We had booked the Spring romance package for $ 159 which consisted of a double room with Jacuzzi tub, a bottle of sparkling wine, chocolates, a 3 course meal and an European breakfast. Everything was absolutely perfect and the friendly staff did their utmost to make our stay memorable. The 3 course meal was an absolute surprise. Our table was... More

We stayed at the Surfside Inn for 2 days at the beginning and end of our driving trip around Nova Scotia. It was perfect for us, especially at the end of our trip when it was nice to stay in the same place for more than one night. The continental breakfast with homemade granola was especially welcome after having so... More

We've just got back from a trip in Nova Scotia and stayed at the Surfside Inn, owned and operated by the Tutsenko family. Absolutely great people, Upon arrival we were greeted by Ines, a sweet beautiful girl. We were shown our room and believe me it was everything I wanted and more. The room was clean and as promised we... More

We went to Hubbards to see the beach where I spent happy times as a child. We wanted to stay in the area for just one night but everything seemed closed. What a relief to find the Surfside Inn at 7 pm and to receive such a warm and friendly welcome. We were hungry and tired and delighted when we... More

My wife and I have recently returned from a 3 night stay at the Surfside Inn and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This is actually the second time we have stayed for a weekend and would not hesitate to return. We stayed in the "Surfside Retreat", a generously sized room with a large whirlpool tub (enough room for two), a... More
