My wife and myself stayed for 3 nights and really enjoyed our stay. We choose the honey moon suite with a romantic diner.....The food was AMAZING, our server (i never did get his name) was very attentive to our needs. Breakfast was light and delicious, We would stay here again. A lovely place.

My husband and I stayed for 5 days and found the buttercup colored room a fine, cozy refuge as we made our roaming tours. The breakfasts were excellent and ample, delicious omelets in a traditional, relaxing dining room. Since we had a corner room, we enjoyed wafting breezes from windows on either side. It was an easy stroll across the... More

This was our third visit to this Inn. We have been there under both the old and new management. The inn is excellent. The owners are friendly and helpful. The food never disappoints. We have stayed here in both summer and winter and it is equally beautiful both times of the year. We always add one of the romance packages... More

My wife and i stayed a night here as an early wedding anniversary getaway. The inn was excellent, the decor was lovely and exactly what one would hope for from an inn by the sea. The room was cozy yet spacious and had everything we needed. The jacuzzi tub i our room was very nice as well. Supper was excellent,... More

If you are looking for a Marriott, Hyatt, Westin, blah, blah, blah, maybe you should stay elsewhere. But if you are looking for a place to relax, unwind, chill out, and be a little pampered, then don't hesitate. Quiet and quaint with lovely views of St. Margaret's Bay, they graciously stayed open for my late arrival, and breakfast with more... More

I stayed at the Inn this fall (2014) and my first wow moment was when I walked into my room. It was a lovely Victorian theme, with an extremely comfy bed, and a jacuzzi tub for relaxing after my long days of sight-seeing. The room had all the amenities I needed. I was fortunate to have the most beautiful view... More

We can't wait to get to this spot whenever we can. Not only is it located across from one of the most beautiful beaches in nova Scotia, its charm is about as much as its beautiful as it is about its staff. From the first call to book to the arrival and greeting we feel a deep sense of caring and... More

This was to be a charming experience - not so! Pulled into the gravel parking lot on a hillside and had to drag luggage along and then up quite a few steps to the lobby - no help at all. Met the hostess and got checked in and was told my room was up another long steep narrow flight of... More

This was supposed to be the high point of our trip. When we arrived, and I told the desk clerk what room we were in, he laughed, and said it wasn't a very good room. Then he tried to upsell us on another room. He also wanted us to pay more than our original deposit for the room we had... More

To all our future guests, please excuse us for having you reading this. Upon arrival the reviewer refused to sign the hotel Registration Card as a standard check-in procedure. He became unhappy with stated provincial law that consumption of alcohol is prohibited in public areas. He then became unhappy with a room he booked through a third-party booking engine, which... My husband and I enjoyed a lovely weekend at Surfside Inn, celebrating our 38th wedding anniversary. The staff were very friendly, helpful and hospitable. The food was delicious. We ordered the Seafood Linguine and the Salmon meal and both were very fresh and delicious. We shared a salad for an appetizer and it was a very generous portion and very... More
