We stayed 1 night at agriturismo baglia fontana. The first impression was very positive. However, a close look reveals that it's an unclean place. As soon as we checked in, they asked us if we wanted to have dinner in their restaurant. Unfortunately, we agreed. The food was really disappointing and rather expensive compared to other places in this region.... More

Even though we have become accustomed otherwise this is how an agriturismo should look and feel. The facilities are comfortable but rough, just as staying in a working farm should feel like. We stayed at a big room (#14) with two floors and space for four. The feeling was as if we're staying at a renovated barn (I think that... More

We stayed 3 nights with a family of 2 kids and thoroughly enjoyed it. The manager is named Francesco. He was incredibly helpful and spoke pretty good English (better than our Italian!). Our room had a loft with 2 single beds for the kids and the room was fairly large compared to other places we have stayed. The place was... More

We found the hotel and the staff second to none in our 30 days in Sicily. Staff willing to alter dinner time to suit. The kitchen is very good. Just tell them what you like. Our room was spacious, had frig, good shower, wardrobe, ground level garden exit with seating, pool. All very well kept. The bed was good king... More

Nicely renovated "baglio" which is a fortress-like medieval farmhouse. We resided in the stallo, supposingly one of their most beautiful appartments. It was very charming. The housekeeper Francesco was very welcoming and accomodating. Breakfast was abundant. they served homemade jam, fresh bread and cornetti from the pasticceria. We got attracted to the place by their professional homepage with beautiful pictures.... More

I recently spent an evening here with a group of well travelled individuals on a cultural tour of Sicily. On arrival we were welcomed by the owners and given a really interesting talk and video show on the history of tuna fishing in Western Sicily. The Baglio is beautiful and really reflects Sicily's history in this part of the island.... More

Our tour group were booked in for dinner here, so did not experience the accommodation. A superb farmhouse with courtyard and fine spacious rooms. We were treated to a memorable meal of local specialities, including a fascinating broad bean stew which we were encouraged to drizzle with this year's young and spicy olive oil. Tasty pasta con Le sarde followed.... More

This was one of our favorite farm stays in Sicily. We had a small room overlooking the pool on the second floor. And the chef ( a woman who's name I can't recall) was delightful as well as talented. Staff is very nice and easy going. Pool was fantastic - really large and clean. There is an interesting terrace area... More

Our family of 5 stayed in this lovely Agriturismo. The pool is fantastic and the food lovely. The breakfasts are tremendous and the dinners a tour de force. The location is excellent for visiting Segesta, Selinunte, Erice, Trapani and the beaches of western Sicily. The massage was excellent in a lovely studio. The bedrooms were typical and comfortable and the... More
