We turned up without booking, having seen the reviews on Tripadvisor. The place is easy to find with a sign pointing off the main road. Above the gate is painted "Ecolodge" and if you want 5 star luxury - this may not be your place. However, if you are looking for a comfortable retreat away from the manic city with... More

Thank you very much for your comment. I will continue on the same topic. Our idea to build this eco-lodge the first is a contact with the local population. The trip to stay in a 4 star hotel or 5 and say that I have visited Morocco is not our idea here. The real journey is to see meet to... More

I had a great stay at Amskou ecolodge. The staff speak English French which very nice communication , the staff helped us to plan days exploring the mountains and dades gorges, as well as help arrange for the next leg of our journey to Fes. The hotel is conveniently located up the road from Boulmane du Dades making it accessible... More

Firstly, considering Amskou is virtually in the middle of nowhere, it is a really quite pleasant accommodation. It is in fact in a village called 'Souk El Khemis Dades', just south of the gorges and the main town 'Boumalne Dades'. TIP: when driving along the main road look out for a small sign on a stilt pointing to Amskou on... More

The hotel is actually in the town of Souk El Khemis, a little downstream from Boumalne Dades. There is a sign for it on the main road in, but if you miss it you can call and someone will meet you. The garden and buildings are well-maintained and attractive. The price is very reasonable with a good evening meal and... More

We enjoyed one night at Auberge Amskou. The owner picked us up at the bus-station in Boumalne which was really nice because the Auberge isnt in the centre of the city. The rooms are clean and simple and the garden next to the house is nice to relax. Breakfast was really good, he offered us homemade stuff like crêpes, goat... More

The shelter is very simple, but has everything which is needed for a comfortable stay. The kitchen is good and the host (who is a mountain guide) is very helpful. A good location for day trips into the mountains.

The house is beautiful and spacious with lots of energy, ideal for families. The garden is beautiful with spacious terraces, living room and dining room. Chickens, bird, gaots valuable addition to the stage and the overall energy of this beautiful home. I have a wonderful stay with Lahcene and his family. They made me feel a part of their home... The auberge is run by an eco-conscious, eco-friendly owner who is also a trekking guide and very knowledgeable about the area. Rooms are clean and well equipped. We arrived on our motorcycles and the parking arrangements were very suitable and safe. We will definitely be returning to explore more of the area under Lahcene's guidance

We bumped into this Auberge half by accident and we were lucky enough that the owners had just, as in just that morning, returned from holiday. They immediately made our stay as pleasant as possible. The auberge is part of an ecolodge and we were convinced that they could almost be 100% selfsupporting with the goats, cow and myriad of... More
