We stayed 1 night ar this hotel included in our 3 day tour to the Sahara desert. This is nearly a 3 star hotel. Rooms were tired. Swimming pool was cleaned and a little tired. The buffet dinner was colourful but lacking in taste, however breakfast was very reasonable with good variety. It has all the basics and it was... More

People were friendly when we first arrived. The pool and view of the valley is spectacular and is a great view for sunsets. This hotel is a great place to sleep and relax after a long day in the car and to prep for a day in the desert. We had a few challenges with the hotel. First, although the... More

There are limited options in the Dades Valley and Xaluca Dades is likely the best among them. We were led down dark corridors to our room which was very far from the front desk, despite there being very few guests at the hotel when we were there. The views are lovely but service wasn't great, despite there being many servers... More

Great location and decor catering to tour groups. Hot water is a problem and poor internet service only available in lobby. Be careful about scratching hand on the rough wooden doors. Food service is good. Bar tender not very co operative when asked for ice.

This is a major tourist hotel between the desert and Marrakech that is set up to look like a mine (there's a mine owned by the royal family nearby that had striking workers at the time). The room was fine, decor interesting but I had a very cold shower in the morning. The bathroom kind of smelled but not enough... More

Big touristy hotel... kind of strange decor. It was still pretty nice and comfortable for the most part. However, the food was pretty terrible. On that alone, I think I would recommend that you consider another location. Much better value can be found elsewhere.

Xaluca Dades is a pretty large hotel and probably the best option for hundreds of miles. It is in the business of catering to large tour groups staying over one night and it does a great job of that. It has many amenities you would expect in a large hotel: swimming pool, bar, exercise room, small gift shop. The dinner... More

Huge hotel with a warren of rooms which seems to cater to large tour groups. Decor in public spaces a bit "over-the-top", but our relatively large room (with ENORMOUS/bigger than king-sized bed) was clean, comfortable and well-equipped. Spa and pool facilities available (250 DH for a half-hour massage; 200 DH for a mud facial treatment). Buffet-style dinner and breakfasts served... More

The architects/designers of the Xaluca Dades got a chance to go wild. From the standard issue lobby you proceed down a log lined, trapezoidal, dark hallway. Perhaps modeled on a mine shaft, the effect is decidedly dream-like -- if you are dreaming of a wood lined birth canal. The room hallways are also very dark making the eclectic ethnographic art...
