I really liked this hotel, but the room was different.....the whole place was different. I felt like I was back in time staying in a weird cave. It was fun, but if you love traditional, you probably won't like to stay here. Staff was attentive, restaurant was good, in the lobby you could get an Internet connection. Over all, the... More

This is a lovely Morrocan Hotel. We were greeted by a group of singers/dancers of both men and women. The lobby area was large and had macaroon cookies for their guests, plus a gift shop and many chairs for sitting. There was only one small elevator (max 4 people) to take guests to their rooms so it took a while.... More

Well decorated, clean hotel and provided for a comfortable one night stay. The buffet dinner looked lavish, but could have been better in taste. Breakfast was filling, wi-fi was good. The small peeve for me was that our toilet was leaking from the line to the tank, with a little bit of water on the floor, which kept the floor... More

Positives of the hotel first. The hotel had dinosaur bones. The food was an average banquet style menu. The staff seemed attentive and the rooms were clean. It would be similar to an older Holiday Inn from the states. Now, for the negatives. Our room had an overwhelming stench of pickles. (Yes, pickles) My husband who is the least picky... More

We were greeted by lovely music, our luggage was taken for us to our wonderful rooms with excellent views, and the food was really very, very good. We felt spoiled and pampered. After dinner my daughter and I indulged in a Hamam and massage and loved the results. We wished only that we had stayed here for two nights as... More

The hotel is perched on top of hill, so it has nice view from many rooms. It was warm everywhere within it. The downsides are, the constant aggressive barking of dogs outside all night long, and the food was tasteless. Come on you have all these incredible spices, how can the food be cooked so bad?

Note: this review is from a Western POV -- I'm a 30-something Bostonian. Hotel Xaluca is a perfectly adequate hotel in Dades. It's more of a basic 3-star hotel than that of a 4-star hotel and it's definitely a large, tourist spot for the tours that come through the area. Rooms were clean and the pool was a highlight. The... I didn't particularly enjoyed my stay here. The labyrinth of a hotel is particularly spooky to my liking. Half the time I was trying to navigate myself around. Even worst was that they only have one lift that caters to upper levels only and if you have gotten level 1 room. Guess asking the porter to help you is the... More

During our 2-week journey in Morocco, we stayed at Xaluca Dades for 2 nights en route from Marrakech to the Sahara. The drive from Marrakech to this hotel was longer than we had planned, and having had car trouble on the way (along with a brief stop at Ait Ben Hadou), we arrived after dark. We were greeted with mint... More
