Big touristy hotel... kind of strange decor. It was still pretty nice and comfortable for the most part. However, the food was pretty terrible. On that alone, I think I would recommend that you consider another location. Much better value can be found elsewhere.

Xaluca Dades is a pretty large hotel and probably the best option for hundreds of miles. It is in the business of catering to large tour groups staying over one night and it does a great job of that. It has many amenities you would expect in a large hotel: swimming pool, bar, exercise room, small gift shop. The dinner... More

Huge hotel with a warren of rooms which seems to cater to large tour groups. Decor in public spaces a bit "over-the-top", but our relatively large room (with ENORMOUS/bigger than king-sized bed) was clean, comfortable and well-equipped. Spa and pool facilities available (250 DH for a half-hour massage; 200 DH for a mud facial treatment). Buffet-style dinner and breakfasts served... More

The architects/designers of the Xaluca Dades got a chance to go wild. From the standard issue lobby you proceed down a log lined, trapezoidal, dark hallway. Perhaps modeled on a mine shaft, the effect is decidedly dream-like -- if you are dreaming of a wood lined birth canal. The room hallways are also very dark making the eclectic ethnographic art... a small quirky hotel built on an old copper mine, the corridor to our room resembled an mine shaft(wooden poles lining the walls and old lamps for lighting).a huge fossil dinosaur is on view under a glass floor in another corridor.the room features alot of copper including the sink.it was clean and comfortable, the food was buffet style and very nice.overall a... After a day of travel and arriving at the acclaimed Hotel Xaluca Dades I had high expectations. Lovely welcome from the tribal singers and then you get to the front desk. Lets just say the receptionist clearly was bothered when I approached the front desk. And after checking with other guests she was down-right rude to others. The room which... More

This hotel is lovely as well as being expertly managed and staffed with delightful people. Their huge buffet every night has something for everybody, and includes a lot of desserts. Guest Rooms are comfortable, clean, and chic, with very nice bathrooms. There is artwork from all over Africa in the guest rooms as well as the public spaces. A nice... More

Very nice place with some really unusual features in the bedrooms and I mean that in a positive way. Situated in an elevated position overlooking the town with the mountains in the background. Evening meals buffet style and perfectly acceptable in both quality and variety.

Wow: The rooms are beautifully decorated and have a small balcony looking out to the town & mountains. The outside of the hotel looks quite odd. There are quirky touches to the rooms eg. shelf made of chicken wire. Light switches resemble tap knobs. This hotel is on the tourist trail, and gets very busy, however it is deceiving because... Slightly different to their other hotels in the chain that I visited as it does not aim to mimic the local environment. Probably the best food in the three we stayed in on the trip. Room slightly smaller with small terrace – rooms at the front and back have larger terraces ans as the sun rises above the mountains to... More
