Before we visited, I've read many exciting reviews of this place, so we were little bit disappointed by the end. For how small the place is, they managed to squeeze many cottages on it. It's basically just two pieces of rock connected by a line of beach. There are a few cottages on one of the rocks, restaurant and kitchen... More

Sorry, dear budget-tourists, the travelling-concept of exploiting poor countries and bargaining prices down leads to rotten bungalows like in Poya Lisa, where nothing is kept working (lamps, door-latches, breaking chairs and hammocks), because owners don't get money to repair or improve anything. You swim in "beautiful warm water" around the tiny island, if you enjoy toilet-waste of bungalows and you... More

Great atmosphere, great food, nothing to do but enjoy the views, the sea, the snorkeling trips. Ideal place for a week of so. Basic convenience (electricity only 6-10 pm), but who cares? Great place to meet other travellers.

We had a great time there, isolated from the world. Snorkelling, delicious food, and a great staff for this small and lovely place. You have your private bungalow on a private desert island, few people around, and this is the perfect place to relax properly. Highly recommended !

Spent 3 days in Poya Lisa Cottages! This is welcoming place located on small island close to Bomba village. It is 2-3 hours away from Ampana by public ferry. It is around 300 thousands rupiah (2 hours) to get to Kadidiri Island by private boat. This basic cottages is very good and you meet interesting crowd of backpackers and welcoming... More

After some adventurous travel experience from Makasar to Ampana we have found on Puyalsa Island our Paradise. We stayed for 8 days and enjoyed the daily snorkeling trips by boat or just around the island. Even a dive trip with the dive instructor on the close Island Retreat was easily possible. The food was perfect, a lot of fresh fish... More

I stayed 4 nights in one of the huts on the hill. The island is tiny and so pretty! I could watch the sunrise from my front porch and the sunset from the balcony. Everything is basic but clean. The cakes for breakfast are fresh, and fish is served with rice and delicious veggies. They even bring snacks to your... More

We spent 12 days at Poya Lisa, and it was difficult to leave.... partly because of the boat schedules. By the way, there IS a way to get to Bomba every day, the people in one hotel in Ampana will lie to you and try to push you into chartering a boat. Find Edy at Marina in Ampana and he... More

We spent 6 days at Poyalisa resort/cottage and for the price you pay (it is all included), we were more than happy. The place is on a small island by itself, with no gods, chicken and cats. You are surrounded by water so you can go snorkelling at any time by yourself, swim around the small island. There is plenty... More
