I cant recommend this place enough, it was not only one of the highlights of my entire 3,5 months trip in Southeast Asia, but also one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. Surrounded by incredible waters where you will find dream beaches and excellent snorkel opportunites, Poyalisa is a real paradise affordable to all pocket sizes and... More

Going to Poya Lisa Cottages was a last minute decision we will never regret! Since the moment we were picked up at Bomba island by a traditional boat we were in a cloud. The location is superb, like in the movies. The cottages on the hill are 'simple' and with the best view ever! The matresses are good and all... More

Poya Lisa cottages are very rustic. Some have private baths but these have squatty potties and no showers. My mosquito net was held together with duct tape over all the holes. The cottages on the cliff have front and back decks for the sunsets and sunrises, with the most comfortable hammocks know to man. Food is the basic fish, rice... More

We stayed there as a couple for 1 week during our trip through the Togeans. It was actually our second cottage we visited there and for us the most amazing place. We were lucky to get one of the upper cottages on the cliff which offers an amazing view on the turquoise sea from the balcony. We spent almost everyday... More

Love this place! Everything is basic but perfectly adequate for Robinson Crusoe style holiday. Gorgeous location, The snorkeling isn't great just around the small island ...there's some, just not mind blowing! They do free snorkeling trips to a nearby reef and longer trips cost 250,000Rp for the whole boat which takes about 8 people max at captain's descretion depending on... More

If I could stay here forevery I would. We had such a great stay with the wonderful family on poya lisa. This place was just what we were looking for. It's not luxury, you won't have 24hr power or running water(bucket shower which is constantly refilled so you will never run out) but the bungalows are neat and quaint and... More

Stayed in Poya Lisa for 5 nights after a lot of research and all I can say is that all the hours in cars ferries and boats are worth it when you get there. The island is really tiny, you get a fantastic feeling of being isolated from everything. Got a bungalow in the cliff and the view was just... More

We stayed at Poya Lisa for 5 nights, originally only planning to stay for 2. We'd like to clarify that our 4 star rating is very good in the context of budget accommodation. The Togian's are remote, small islands & if you're looking for a fancy resort then it's not for you. We stayed in one of the bungalows closer... More

The island is small, you can snorkel around in 1 hour! We had a very nice bungalow on top of the cliff. One site sunset, other site sunrise! Great!!! There was always a nice breeze, so we didn't need a fan. The bugalow gad a Mandi shower, water in a bucket, and the friendly Captain Water filled up every day... More

If you like a cheap stay on a nice island, this is a good place to go. Just 150.000 rp ( eur 10 ) p.p.p.d. Including 3 meals. Standard cabins on the beach or on the rocks. Only the food is a bit boring. Every day for lunch and diner plain rice and dry fish.
