We had the best stay possible at Casa se San Martin. The road up to the place is not a sports car road but still ok, but when you get there it is like a big open oasis appear surrounded by woods and a fantastic view. The service we received was perfect as was the room with a large and... More

This place was absolutely stunning although slightly hard to get too as via an untarmaced track, so do not go in a sports car! The views were amazing and you couldn't help but relax. The staff were welcoming but not overbearing, in fact you didn't really see anyone between breakfast and dinner so it felt like your own villa. I... More

The problem with arriving at Casa de San Martin is that you immediately start to wonder when you can return. The setting is stunning, with no other inhabited building as far as the eye can see. A warm welcome and you are shown to beautiful rooms, surrounded by stunning gardens. The views from the balconies and terraces are perfect, and... More

A very special place to stay situated in the hills .This former monastery has been beautifully restored with many lovely touches. The views are wonderful and the only sounds are of the cowbells and the birds. Dinner was well presented and reasonable at 35 euros for 4 courses. Breakfast ,although perfectly pleasant ,was overpriced at 15 euros. Only comments for... More

This was a highlight of our trip to spain. A magical property in an equal magical setting. The secluded property in the beautiful Pyronees was a treat. The service warm and friendly. We had a fantastic relaxing time. Be sure to book for dinner at the hotel as the food is prepared based on what is in season. In a... More

I own a travel company and spend much of my time in hotels, so I rarely get excited about hotels ... Casa de San Martin is an exception to this rule. Hidden away along 5km of dirt road (don't go in a low car), this hotel is the perfect balance of luxury and rustic. The scenery is spectacular, the grounds... More

Tucked away in a buecolic valley in the Pyronees mountains, only accessible via dirt path this painstakenly restored 10 room hotel was the highlight of our trip to Spain. Upon arrival we were immediately greeted by the owner and treated to the history of the property, a monestary dating back to the 1200's in which he lovingly restored. Exposed stone... More

Word are not enough to describe this amazing place Mario has created. My wife and I started our two week honeymoon here and wish we would have stayed longer. We spent three amazing nights also spoiled by both Mario and Wagner. The grounds / house are exquisite and the food a culinary masterpiece. The sweet soup of coffee demands seconds... More

We stayed here for 3 nights in late June. For some reason we were the only guests at the Casa at that time. We were totally spoiled. Mario upgraded us (loved the Adelphi room), and every night Wagner treated us so well in the restaurant. We dined there each evening and the food was of an exceptional standard (for a... More

It's been awhile since I have been motivated to write a review but I must do so for this little 10-room gem lost in the valley of the Pyrenees mountain. We live in bustling Singapore and when we can, we try to get away from it all. Usually that means compromising a little bit on little comforts. However Casa de... More
