We stayed at this hotel because of its proximity to the monastery. The room was very blah; nothing special. The hotel is supposedly very old (1201), but nothing really shows that. It looks like it is from 1960s. The most frustrating fast is wifi. They say you can have one our free, but in order to use that you have... More

This was a funny hotel - rather impersonal. There were also not many other guests when we stayed and it was a bit like a ghost hotel! The room was clean and comfortable but one felt that every last euro was screwed out of you. The WiFi was charged (just under 5 euros) although you could have one free hour.... More

The location of the hotel could not be better: adjacent to the Maulbronn Monastery, across the street from a bus stop and a bakery. The hotel itself is a UNESCO world heritage sight and is clean and comfortable and nicely decorated. We arrived early and the hotel staff allowed us to store bags. The staff was also quite helpful in... More

We were looking for a place close to Stuttgart (it's about a 30-minute drive away), and this hotel worked well for that. As others have mentioned, it is also one block away from Maulbronn Abbey, which is well worth visiting. The town itself is attractive also. There are two parts to this hotel. The older part is the traditional-looking building... More

Since visiting the UNESCO WH Monastery was my principal reason to travel to Maulbronn, the hotel--located practically on the premises--was very convenient. Public parking (free and just behind the hotel) was perfect if traveling with a car. The rooms were very spacious, clean, quiet and comfy; bathroom was with shower. Pillows however need to be refreshed (lumpy); bed just fine.... More

The hotel is nicely decorated and the staff are very friendly. The breakfast is good and the views from the rooms are beautiful. The bathroom was a little dirty but overall the room and the beds were very comfy. There were very few TV channels to choose from and they were all in german. I think this hotel was good... More

Stayed ay Klosterpost whilst my partner was on business in Muhlacker. Maulbronn is a wonderful old town full of history that is off the tourist beat and as remarkably untouched. The hotel is basic but very comfortable. Good breakfast, warm comfortable beds and by european standards good size roms. Probably the only negative would be the bathrooms that are small... More
