Set in amazing countryside in a small Highland village, the Hotel has all the rustic charm you would expect.Do not consider if modern or lively are your key albeit we spent our next night in Aberdeen city centre to get the best of all worlds. Expect great service, great food and a small piece of Downton Abbey (very small apologies... More

My wife and I stayed for one night on a trip in the area. The welcome, room, food and general hospitality were fantastic. We didn't manage to have dinner but this is simply a reason to return again. Well worth the detour off the well beaten track to experience this level of Scottish hospitality.

What a find this hotel was. It is a beautiful old country house that oozes charm. Ian who looks after front of house is just great, he balances professionalism with a friendly manner. Our room was lovely with an amazing spa bath which was just what was needed after golfing days and hiking days. The food is absolutely fantastic, every... More

From the warm welcome on our arrival until our departure we really enjoyed our stay here. The house is very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The food is out of this world and the whole experience is seamless. I could not recommend this place enough and it really is a must visit.

What a fabulous find. Iain and Elaine were most welcoming. Location, room and breakfast all perfect. The tranqulity of the blissfully muzak-free breakfast room was alas spoiled by a selfish guest who felt no complusion to silence his phone or alerts on electronic devices. The only down side was that they could only accommodate us for 1 night, but Iain's... More

Very friendly, lovely food and atmosphere. Excellent bathroom. Beautiful setting as well in quiet countryside. Stayed here during lands end to John o groats cycle ride, and this was one of the highlights of the trip.

What a fantastic place this is. We've just returned from a three day stay in the Ballindalloch room. Great facilities & superb views. Our hosts Iain & Elaine couldn't have been more helpful. Iain is clearly the front man & we think he keeps Elaine locked up in the kitchen!. The food is simply outstanding & Elaine deserves huge credit... More

Yet another fantastic stay, this time in the super Ballindalloch room. All the rooms are fantastic, but this room is just extra special by having the turret window affording superb views. Food delicious as always, and the service from Iain and his team is just first class!! Already planning our fourth visit for next year.

Fantastic find and would definitely return. Unfortunately we only stayed for one night. Welcome was lovely, hotel is situated in a beautiful area and is immaculate! We stayed in a superior room with a view over the gardens. Lots of lovely little touches, a welcome drink on arrival, fresh flowers and fruit in the room. Dinner and breakfast were amazing.... More

We attended Tigh na Sgiath for a family get together and it was everything we had hoped for and more. There really isn't anything to fault or criticise, everything was perfect. The food is absolutely amazing and we were all well fed by the end of the night. It made for a great break, and I would definitely recommend it.
