After a trip up the pass we stopped off for what we hoped would be a nice Sunday lunch. Keeping it simple we ordered a Rib-eye and some type of lamb wrap. Unfortunately no carvery offering. The waitress was very nice, well spoken and welcoming, however the food took exactly an hour from order to arrive and the ribeye was... More

We stayed at Sani Pass for 3 nights in October as we always wanted to see and experience the Natal Midlands. The hotel itself is quite old with lots of old world charm and being newly renovated gives a bit of a more modern feel once you set foot inside. The rooms are very comfortable - lovely and spacious, beautiful... More

This is one of the few remaining true family resorts in the Berg. It is old but the refurbished bathrooms and very spacious bedrooms in the hotel are lovely with beautiful views. We were there for a weekend with my niece and her husband and two small children and we all enjoyed the stay. Lovely grounds, great playground, very good... More

Stayed over for a long weekend, booked in the cottages. Old hotel with a great room revamp. Bathrooms look good. After a delicious 3 course meal got back to our room and had no hot water. BEFORE we could complain, we were asked my management to move into a room in the main hotel building. Thank you! Cozy log fire... More

We stayed at the Sani Pass Hotel as a family from 12 to 13 April 2014. During that time members of my family rode horses and quadbikes. The horses were too thin and needed proper professional care. The quadbikes have never been serviced and were constantly breaking down. The bike I rode could not even get up the hills without... More

We recently spent a night at this hotel, and although it is one of the older ones,we had a most enjoyable stay. The hotel rooms have been renovated and are spacious with amazing views of the mountains. The gardens were so pretty and well maintained. The food was good, but the most outstanding thing was the staff.Every staff member from the receptionists, barmen, waiters ,room... Our stay was so relaxing and a wonderful experience for the kids in our group (a special thanks to Happy who entertained them)... The bungalows were slightly dated but very clean and comfortable. Splendid view and overally a very relaxing stay.

we, a family stayed over for 3 nights. we were spilt into garden rooms and rooms inside the hotel. the difference was very BIG. outside garden rooms were old, dated, not clean, smelly… the rooms inside the hotel were nice, clean… the staff at reception was very helpful and friendly, food was average… outdoor activities can be better… in general,... the good: -great staff -refitted bathrooms (at least ours) -great location -price/quality ratio the less good: -odours in the room (probably from the fixed carpet); rooms still need renovating like the bathrooms have gotten -i think they could make more of this place by upscaling it a bit more in all areas, but I understand that in process

My family with 2 children enjoyed it tremendously. The views, the activities are we lovely. Playing tennis and hearing the river rushing in the back ground is a rare experience. The food is delicious and the service superb. The childrens' program is helpful. Within in 20 minutes walk there is a spectacular waterfall. One gets to enjoy nature in a safe... More
