Stayed for 2 nights with 3 children in double and triple rooms. Beds extremely comfy. Hotel family run and the staff could not have been more helpful and welcoming. They really were lovely. Breakfast plentiful and delicious. Amsterdam centre is just 4 miles away and an easy bike ride or you can catch bus or metro. Lovely quiet, safe neighbourhood... More

Is this a 4 star hotel? Not really. What's good about it? The location is ok, near Amsterdam. Public transport to the city is convenient. The staff is friendly. The breakfast is decent. But: the double room was tiny, dark, and badly in need of redecoration. The wardrobe is small, so you can't unpack your luggage. The walls are thin,... More

This nice quiet rather small (25 rooms) hotel is in the process of being refurbished by its new owner: the toilet next to the restaurant has brand new tiles, the new beds and mattresses were just being unloaded when we arrived, the carpet in the room is clean, due to its location in a small street between the old center... I came across this place by accident while heading to the airport last week. We had a great lunch here which was extremely reasonably priced. The landlady was very friendly and helpful. We sat outside at the tables in the sun.

I was expecting a family hotel and it's been sold like that but it's not what I've been told at all! The food was ok but the kitchen couldn't cope with a full hotel! The manager smokes inside the hotel so the whole place smells of cigarretes! The towels are so old and small! Well hope they can bring it... More

My husband and I stayed here for 5 days in late September of 2013 during our visit to see friends in Amstelveen, and experience Amsterdam & Haarlem. The hotel was easy to find with very good proximity to the bus and tram stations, and situated in a peaceful, well-kept neighborhood. Breakfasts were included in the cost, and a highlight; lots... Hotel with perfect location for a visit to Amsterdam and Amstelveen. We stayed for 5 nights at Alp de Veenen in september, for a visit to Amsterdam. The location of the hotel, 5 minutes walk from Amstelveen Busstation, was perfect. With the 300-bus from and to Schipol, for 4 Euro each way. For going in to the city of Amsterdam,... More

Nice cosy room. Friendly helpful staff. Great service at breakfast. You can have fried egg and bacon if you want. Although two flights of stairs to climb. Unusual for a continental hotel. 500m walk from Amstelveen bus station: Be careful where you cross the road, I got told off by a motorcycle policeman for trying to cross against the lights.... More

Spent a few nights here. Nice hotel. Easily accessible from airport. We took the bus from the airport and it was just a short walk after that. In a residential area of Amsterdam. Nice and quiet and good extensive breakfast. Plenty of choice. Nice fresh bread and croissants. Reception are very helpful Would definitely return on my next visit to... More
