It has been a while since my last visit here but I was happy to see that they Have done (and are currently doing) some work to refurbish the rooms. I got one of those new ones on 4th floor and it was really fresh and modern. Even "mood" lighting ;). Room was still huge and I had two balconys.... More

We stayed for three nights at the Grand Hotel Amstelveen and really enjoyed it. The staff were lovely and I left some clothes in the room which they sent back to me in England within a few days. They have a fun bowling alley a minutes walk away and it's a quick bus ride into the center of Amsterdam. They... More

The hotel looks horrible on the outside. But inside, everything is okay. We went high season and last minute, more expensive than it was valued. Very friendly staff, good breakfast. Bus to and from Amsterdam city centre in front of the hotel.

Good hotel for business or transit. Big and quite rooms. There is nothing around the hotel, only a small restaurant with very limited choice. Airport transfer is not free and taxi will cost you around 35 euros. The hotel have no restaurant and very limited choice of room service.

Very friendly staff. Big rooms. It is possible to book connected rooms (for big families). Separate a WC and a bathroom (a shower and a bath). A tea/coffee set. Breakfast only. The hotel has a bistro/restaurant 100 meters, bowling and tennis.

stayed for two nights as we had business in Amstelveen. our bedroom was huge, our bed was huge and very comfortable and the room was modern, well thought out and immaculately clean. Breakfast was good and had a good selection of breads, pastries, cold cuts and some hot food. Staff were pleasant and efficient. We drank in the bar one... More

Booking process Having lived in Holland in my teens and having visited the serene borough of Amstelveen briefly at that time, I wanted my first trip to Holland after 14 years to be in this beautiful area. I had had my eyes on the Grand Hotel for a long time but then managed to get an amazing deal including breakfast... More

Ok the hotel is in phase of renovation! The rooms will be perhaps very comfortable but today the lack of some Interieurs. Nothing to put your suitcase on. The new bed ist very confortable and the staff are incredibly helpful and obliging, this is correct most of the time, but I got stuck for sometime in the elevator and noone... More

Not bad hotel, but free wifi is avalaible only at lobby. If you want to have internet in you room you have to pay. You will have tea and coffe in you room with teapot. Rooms are clear and comfortable. Breakfast is nutritious. Not bad for normal price. And not far away from Amsterdam

Amstelveen is a suburb of Amsterdam and is about 45 minutes by public transport (light railway) from Amsterdam Central Station. The rooms are very comfortable and the staff are incredibly helpful and obliging. The only thing stopping it getting an excellent rating is its lack of a restaurant. There is a busy bistro style restaurant 5 minutes walk away but... More
