Great basic place to stay ( more like an hostel than a hôtel), nice staff, really interesting price for Amsterdam. Howewer, the location is quite far from Amsterdam center and buses are really expensive (like 10 euro to go to the center). Best deal is to rent a bike at the hostel and bike-riding fort 25 minutes to join the... More

Staff is friendly. The restaurant turns into a club-ish thing at night. Neighborhood is safe to park your car and parking is free. That is where the positive things end. I've traveled quite the lot and this is one of the worst if not the worst hotel I ever stayed. Honestly, I stayed in MUCH better youth hostels and I... More

I can rate only the restaurant part. Not the hotel. The service is very "homy", guy next door- kind of. Dinner with friends was no success: it's difficult to communicate with others if you're unable to hear yourself. More Irish pub feeling: noise, loud music, lots of beer and semi-drunk dudes. I'm sure there are people who do appreciate this... More

Kindly allow this comment directed at dog owners / dog lovers in particular. Abina in Amstelveen, a rather unique mix. Downstairs, the party centre of the area. To a fair extend including Amsterdam, a few miles away. Full marks. Upstairs, as for the room and shared sanitary facilities, yesteryears. With due respect, somewhat hard to give it a single star.... Me & my daughter stayed Fri-monday & loved every minute. The staff were fantastic, the room although basic was comfy & the food was amazing, i found the stairs to our room a bit steep as we were on the 2nd floor. It gets packed out over the weekend which makes it even better. We preferred Hotel Abina better than Amsterdam... More

We stayed at Cafe/Bar Abina last weekend for 3 nights, Fri, Sat & Sun. Admittedly the 3 busiest nights of the week, but the noise from the bar below was UNBEARABLE! It went on until 3.30 am Fri & Sat but was significantly quieter on Sun night. We were so tired from the lack of sleep that we really didn't... More

Pro - Cheap - Wifi - Bfest was included Con - Shared bathroom, with a light that didn't work - Have to pass through restaurant/bar to get to your room - 20 min bus ride to city centre. 30-45 min on weekends - Rooms are in dire need of an update - Only one outlet in entire room available
