Warm welcome from landlord. Stayed one night as attending wedding do nearby. Bedroom spacious and adequate. King size bedextremely comfy with lovely fresh crisp cotton sheets and duvet cover. Booked through Booking.com breakfast not offered on the site but had a complimentary continental b'fast in the fridge in room which was a lovely touch. Would stay again and recommend.good value.

Disappointed by our stay during the past heatwave. Room 3 has a green light inside the room that you can not turn off. You can not hear the bar from the room. But all in all not a good stay, I did email before we arrived about breakfast but did not get a reply, the option is in the fridge... More

Had a quick stop for a pint and something to eat and we're lucky to stop on an evening when they were hosting a festival. Live music, Theakstons Black Bull and a fantastic bbq - perfect! The staff were friendly and helped make our brief stop even more enjoyable. Would definitely return

Upon arrival we were told that we had not booked, so our family of 8 were left standing in the busy restaurant whilst they sorted out their mistake. We then had to wait ages for a table, as they obviously weren't expecting us. The roast dinner was mediocre. The vegetables were overcooked as the broccoli was falling apart and the... More

The Bull is picturesque and probably about 200 years or so old so the rooms are what you would expect - smallish but adequate with a reasonable rate. We had an issue like Karl8 with the heating and talked to a sympathetic manager who had difficulty in getting a plumber/engineer out to fix it that day (getting a plumber instantly... More

Stayed here for two nights whilst my wife was in Papworth Hospital. The food was superb, staff friendly and the place was clean and well cared for. The bedroom, 5, overlooked the rear car park but wasn't noisey at all. The room was newly refurbished with a great bathroom with power shower, and the bedroom, although small, was adequate. However,... More

Arrived on Friday the 15th May. Room small and cramped. Asked about the Full Breakfast and told it is a continental breakfast which is already in the mini fridge in the room. We asked if we could book a meal in their restaurant and was told no. Then when we retired for the night the radiators sounded like nagar falls.... More

Excellent service, food and wine. Perfect for a great quality evening meal. My husband is a vegetarian who is also a personal trainer and body builder. He loves the food here and it's his favourite in the area. Thank you for your wonderful Italian hospitality xx
