A beautiful property. A preserved Norman manor and well-manicured French, herb and flower gardens. The restaurant is good, the breakfast is good, the staff are kind and helpful. Great location to visit Mont-St-Michel, Bayeux, the beaches, even the port towns. The only downside is the bathrooms. We had a suite and the bathroom was not what you would expect. Large,... more

This is a nice quiet country location with a good location if you want to be close to the D-Day beaches or Bayeau. Yet the rooms are not what are to be expected in this type of chateau and the bathrooms do not have the amenities nor the comfort that the nicer hotels provide. In fact one bathroom has a... more

Conveniently located close to Bayeaux and Caen in lovely grounds. Lots of character being a chateau. We had a very enjoyable overnight stay with excellent food. Facilities a little disappointing with only an outside pool which couldn't be used because of the weather. Lovely view of the garden from our room and beautiful grounds to stroll in. Room was very... more

We stayed at the Chateau for a long weekend in late August. Utterly beautiful building in a peaceful location. Very well positioned for Bayeux and Caen. Restaurant food is imaginative and at its best is comfortably worth two Michelin stars. But it is inconsistent and sometimes falls flat: our second night was nowhere near one star standard . Service is... more

My husband and I stayed at this beautiful chateau for 2 nights and used it as our home base while we were visiting some of the D-Day sights in the area. Our room was on the main floor, looking into the courtyard, which was heavily under construction during our stay (resurfacing of the exterior of the building). Fresh flowers from... more

We stayed here two nights in late June '07 with our two sons and really enjoyed it. We used it as a base to tour D-Day sites and Bayeux. Had a suite on top floor and by European standards it was huge. We had 2 bathrooms and 2 bedrooms. Our bedroom had a king be and huge marble bath. The... more

We selected this property from a Telegraph article of 2001 on Normandy. We thought we would treat ourselves to 2 nights in the chateau. Its a beautiful building, and you need to know to go and see the lovely lounge on the first floor as its open but they don't tell you of it. Great, spacious room. Wonderful bathroom --... more

I stayed at this hotel for one night during September 2005. No complaints about the hotel- room ok, food ok and pleasant grounds. However whilst swimming in the outdoor pool I had 100 euros stolen from my purse which was in our locked room at the time. Even though we complained to the hotel reception at the time and the... more

I booked this in a bit of a hurry as we drove along the autoroute north having changed our ferry time to an early morning one. The description in the Michelin guide seemed pretty good and as it was a Saturday night I was pleased they still had rooms available but I think I accepted the price of 410 euros... more

Stayed here for two nights during October 2005 as part of a Brittany Ferries holiday paying £79 per person half board. Quality bedroom with good bathroom. Very pleasant restaurant with professional service but the food is quite extraordinary. We were brought an unpriced a la carte menu which featured some very strange combinations .e.g. fish with liqorice, cep mushroom ice... more
