Had some time in Europe while attending a meeting so I headed down to Normandy and to visit some WWII sites during the off season, Stayed at La Foulerie again and all was perfect just like it was a few years earlier. Warm welcome, clean bedroom and bathroom and a wonderful (typical) French breakfast. On top of this, visiting Normandy... More

Perfect little charming b&b for a family overnight stay on our trip to the Vendee. We had booked the spacious 4p bedroom with own facilities (shower, toilet). Friendly owners and very good and fresh breakfast. Very quiet environment with lovely flowery garden. Also a lot of cats in the surroundings. Only tiny thing was that not all windows had curtains,... We booked this B&B after our Gite fell through, after reading reviews on trip advisor i was very much looking forward to my stay, booking straight forward and After a telephone conversation with Jean Luc for directions we were able to find the B&B fairly easy from Caen. On Arrival i was very pleased by the surroundings and how very... More

If you want a place that is truly the flavor of the French countryside, La Foulerie is it. I will return, it was my favorite experience and I have been to France countless times. We stayed there in June for three days and it was all we expected and more. Jean Luc is a gem! He is so welcoming, genuine,... More

We found La Foulerie after waiting too long to make a reservation at the more highly rated B&B's listed on Tripadvisor in this area of Normandy. In spite of being right off the A84 (running from Caen-Rennes, this converted farmhouse is so quiet the birds sounded loud. Run by Mr. Tallec and his (shy) wife, we stayed for 5 days... More

I took my 16 year old daughter to Normandy for a week and needed a B&B with a good location for the traditional Normandy tourist sites along with having the beauty of a french farm. La Foulerie has this and even more! The location was perfect, the rooms were well appointed and the grounds were just beautiful. Jean Claude and... More

We stayed at La Foulerie in early May during a brief visit to Bayeux. The B&B can be a little difficult to find, but it's well worth it. The house is quite charming (with cats, dogs and horses) and Jean-Luc was the perfect host. We stayed in the large family room on the top floor, and it was quite spacious... More

We stayed with Jean-Luc and Irene for 4 nights in June 2009 at La Foulerie. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they were always on hand to have a chat. They both speak good English which was just as well as our French is virtually non-existent! Will definitely return and highly recommend La Foulerie.

My family and I stayed at "La Foulerie" in July 2007. What a great place! The property is an old farmhouse at the end of a country lane. The accomodations are very nice. Here is what I liked: - The owners are very friendly - The setting is really neat, very rural - The farm has dogs, cats, horses, goats... More
