I surprised my husband by booking this b&b in August. We were touring the war sites prior to our time in Paris. Honestly, I wish I would have known how great this place was and booked longer. The area is so charming and the restaurants in the nearby town are family run. Charming area, true France! The b&b was breathtaking... More

My husband and I traveled to the Normandy area with our four teenage children. Chateau de l'Isle Marie was the highlight of the trip. The hosts, Dorothea and Simon, are wonderful and so helpful with recommendations. Simon gave us a brief history of the house. We were able to explore much of the property and really enjoyed seeing the authenticity... More

We spent 3 nights at the Chateau and in large, spacious room, with ensuite. Our host was very welcoming and we sat with our wine, cheese and (French!) bread and chatted with our host and a few other guests. An open fire was an added bonus. The Chateau was - as you would expect - very atmospheric. Don't go expecting... More

The most romantic setting with a beautiful chateau and park and the owners were delightful and more than helpful in every way. Just a very magical stay and will be in our memories for a long time. The room was large and beautifully furnished with the food being delicious too

Memorable stay in a quiet location. Grounds were spectacular and the owner was very pleasant, interesting and helpful, giving us a tour and a brief history of the building. Room was lovely. Plenty of tour brochures and breakfast was good.

My husband and I stayed 3 nights in this charming castle-like chateau. Our room was very comfortable and luxurious, the hosts Dorothea and Simon extremely gracious. Be sure to eat at the Auberge d'Louve as it is fabulous. Northern France is breath-takingly beautiful.

My husband and I stayed here before sailing the following day from Cherbourg. It was lovely, hugely welcoming and we were sorry to be only staying one night. We will be returning soon for a longer stay. The rooms were beautiful and the hosts charming.

As the organizer for a group of 21 family and friends, all very experienced international travelers, I felt some pressure in booking the Chateau as well as the Manior...and, the bottom line is our week at Isle-Marie exceeded all of our expectations. Isle-Marie is a beautiful property with exquisite accommodations and a wonderful location. We were interested in biking Normandy... More

What a fantastic weekend away in a superbly renovated Chateau only 45 minutes from Cherbourg. I wanted something special for our wedding anniversary and this surpassed all of my expectations. Told my wife that "I have just booked a little B&B I hope its OK?" Imagine her surprise when I turned into the tree lined drive and ended up parked... More

Just spent 5 wonderful days at this "hide away" chateau in the heart of Normandy. Close to all area attractions, this is the best way to experience all that is Normandy France. Simon is an accommodating host who made our time there unforgettable and the rooms are just perfect. Add to this the "5 star food" and the picture perfect... More
