PROS: Room design is nice and very clean. Hot shower was efficient. Location is between Pattaya and Sunrise beach and a bit far away from Sunset beach. The outside wall has many geckos but never found them in the room. CONS: It's not a cheap guest house and on their web they say to provide daily cleaning. However, we had... More

We stayed here during the Chinese New Year holidays. Initially we thought that the hike up to the hotel was quite a journey (mostly because of our heavy luggages) but after the second trip we didn't mind the location much. In fact, it was perfect as it was accessible to all the beaches in the island. We booked the family... More

We celebrated our 2011 Christmas at the Reef and we love the place so much! A homely place to stay and unwind. The staff @ the reef are friendly especially the multi-tasking Nok. We spent most of our night at the lounge, which was cozy. Although the pub opposite resumed business on Christmas eve (not sure for now), we did... More

We stayed here in early January. We were pleasantly surprised on arrival having already stayed at some horrible places. We were given the balcony suite upstairs. This seemed to be the only room upstairs and had its own little balcony with a couple of great little chairs and a nice view. Yes this place is not on the beach but... More

Very Happy overall with our stay at the Reef. Staff were nice. Rooms were basic but spotless, didnt need anything else as werent in the rooms much. Good location, only minutes from all 3 beaches, and near walking st. Love the island, numerous eating and drinking options, lovely people and beaches. Would love to go back More

Modern, clean room (no cleaning service for two day stay), flat screen TV (but satellite receiver not working).  Plus points : good breakfast (muesli, yogurt, fresh fruit, eggs, toast and hot drinks all included). Free taxi pick up. 5 min walk to Pattaya and Sunrise Beaches.  Minus points: staff quite grumpy, no room cleaning during our stay, travel desk "discounts"... More

Rest assured, the loud bar has closed.........We chose the reef as it was great value for money, near walking street, accessible to all three beaches and had a/c rooms etc. The location is excellent as you can easily get to the three beaches in no time at all, in addition the Reef offers free use of its Motor Cycle Taxi......Walking... We stayed at the Reef for 5 days in late November 2011. It was perfectly placed with all beaches within easy reach. Despite being very close to Walking Street we were not bothered by any noise at all. the bar opposite has closed and the owners of the Reef are renting it for storage. The staff were friendly and helpful... More

Great central location, close enough to all the beaches and walking street, yet far enough that you don't hear any of the bars/patrons all night. ('rock bar' across the street is closed for rennovation) The front desk is gracious and always willing to help. There is free wifi here, but the signal is only strong enough at the lobby/lounge area.... More
