Small family run hotel, that made me welcome from the time I arrived. Room was very comfortable, clean and well maintained. Restaurant menu has more selection than most large group hotels, and every meals was excellent. Breakfast was just as good and kept me going for the day. Small and quite hotel in a little hamlet, far better than a... More

Don't be put off by the external appearance of this small hotel. We stayed here during a recent 5 week holiday in England and it was great value for money. The room was clean, comfortable and a reasonable size. The service was excellent as was the dinner at the restaurant and breakfast. It is just a short drive to the... More

Stayed here to attend a wedding nearby and shared a room with three friends. There is a very strong smell of damp in entrance areas of hotel which was off-putting and have to agree that the place is looking quite tired and worn. Didn't find it particularly friendly. The room we stayed in was fine but the water pressure in the... More

Set in a small hamlet, this hotel is a bit of a mish mash! First impressions, extreme smell of damp on entering hotel, very old, I like old, but old and very tired, not so! I was a bit scared at this point, however we were greeted well on our arrival by the owners and when shown our rooms they... More

Based on some of the reviews written here about room sizes, we paid extra for an executive room and it was a fair sized room, however the ensuite shower was quite small and the loo was very close to the shower - not good if you had long legs. The room was tired with scratched furniture and two of the... More

At £100 per night we really expected at least a room we could swing a car in but we almost walked out when we were showed into Room 3 it was probably the smallest room we had ever stayed in. Having said that the bed was comfortable and the road which is directly beneath the window wasn't too noisy. The... More

We stayed here for the night, after attending a wedding at nearby Priston Mill, about 3 miles away, and I wish we could have stayed longer. It's in a lovely location, in the middle of the countryside, yet only 6 miles from Bath, ideally situated for several local attractions. The staff(or owners, not sure) were genuinely warm, friendly and welcoming.... More

We stayed here last year and returned this year as we loved it so much. David and Jen are very welcoming, the accommodation is extremely comfortable with big spotlessly clean rooms, ample free parking, and a restaurant on site (the chocolate dessert is 'to die for'). We would definitely return, thanks David and Jen!
