David is a wonderful host. Picked up my friend and I from Bath at short notice and took us back to the old malt house. Clean and pleasant guest house. I can see why people return here. Nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was very nice. Only stayed here one night but would recommend this pleasant place.

A quiet location in a country lane and ideally placed (by car) for Bath (recommend park and ride) Longleat and Cheddar Gorge. Our room was small, but clean and comfortable with ensuite. There is a bar and restaurant with a good choice of dishes, including vegetarian. Our only disappointment was not being allowed to re-book for a single Saturday although... More

Warmly welcomed on arrival. David offered to carry cases to our room and we mentioned that our boot door was jammed. He was most concerned and helpful. He waved his magic wand and hey presto, the boot opened and we could retrieve our cases. Lovely room overlooking fields where beautiful shire horses grazed. We watched the swallows and buzzards flying... More

Approximately 25 years previously, my partner lived in the area adjacent to Radford. She and her previous, but now, dearly departed partner used The Old Malt House regularly. Therefore, this reviewer was expecting a good time under its roof. We were not disappointed – far from it. The service was excellent because the owners, David and his wife, and staff... More

We were warmly welcomed by Jen into the lovely small hotel. Our room was clean, quiet and comfortable. Dave, Jenny and Becky were equally friendly and welcoming. Breakfast and dinner menus cater for all. The rural location is ideal for exploring Somerset. A short drive to a Park and Ride service to Bath is excellent. We really could not have... More

I've been coming to The Old Malt House regularly for nearly a year. They have always found a way to accommodate me, despite, sometimes, some very short notice! The staff there - Dave, Jen, Jenny & Becs - are welcoming, friendly & efficient. Nothing is too much trouble for them & the hotel itself is a wonderfully evocative building. I've... More

What a gem in the country side, we were a late arrival but was made very welcome by jenny, she shown us to are room and said the bar is still open If we wanted a drink, when we came down the bar was quiet so jenny sat with us and told us a bit about the history about the... More

Weird experience, we won't be repeating it!! Three of us stayed two nights in this hotel when attending a wedding nearby. Our room was ridiculously overpriced £145 a night for a two star three bedded room. It was clean and the shower was of good quality. Those are my two positives. We had a terrible meal in the lounge the... More

I had informed the hotel in advance that my daughter was vegan and she was well cared for by the hotel staff. Vegan yoghurt, vegan cheese, soy milk, all the things that are necessary to keep a vegan kid happy! That's more than enough for a five star rating from me but, even without that, the rooms are clean, comfortable,... More

Stayed here when I attended a friends wedding at Priston Mill - I was able to get the keys early for just a small charge meaning I didn't have to worry about checking in later in the afternoon between the ceremony and wedding reception. Location is peaceful and rooms are well set up with tea and coffee facilities. All in... More
