We (family of four from Berlin, Germany) enjoyed our stay at Whippletree Cottags, Withy Mills Farm, very much. Our host Debbie gave us a very warm welcome and was helpful and attentive thoughout our stay. Our two daughters (10 & 6) were always welcome at the farmhouse to play with the kittens. Whippletree Cottage itself is very comfortable and charming,... More

We stayed in Wharfingers Cottage at Withy Mills Farm, a lovely quiet location roughly mid way between Bath and Wells. Some very 'interesting' local roads to take and so we were very lucky with the weather. The cottage was very well equipped, with the advantages of constant under floor ground sourced heating, a relaxing whirlpool bath, a log fire and... More

We stayed here at The Engine House as a birthday treat. We needed a base close to Bath City Centre and also near Longleats Safari. This was perfect: 20 min drive to Bath, 45 to Longleats. Cottage is Very well equipped: lovely fresh homemade scones, jam & cream on arrival, great Geo-heating system (underfloor heating throughout) huge double bed, log... More

The stone outbuildings at Withy Mills Farm have been beautifully converted into three self catering units. We stayed in Whippletree Cottage. The owner has put a lot of attention and care into choosing the décor and the furnishings. Everything is on a farm or countryside theme. There is under floor heating and a wonderful wood burning stove, which my grown... More

I stayed in the Engine House last week- 2 nights with my husband for a weekend break, and then the next 6 nights with my friend while we attended a training course nearby. The cottage was super- it's bigger than the photos on the website make it look. It's modern, uncluttered and the views are wonderful. The bed is HUGE!... More

Just returned from a stay in the Engine House.....very cosy and quaint with superb views of beautiful countryside. Nice touch to have a cream tea ready on arrival, but huge disappointment that it didn't include milk for the tea (apparently guests are no longer permitted to use the farmhouse milk.....which is straight from the cow, because of possible "health risks"... We drove West from London and it was a perfect summer's day as we arrived. Debbie was so welcoming and we tucked into the delicious scones on arrival. The facilities are well thought out the cottage was clean and very comfortable. We loved the kitchen and the little touches like board games and so on. The walks in the area... More

LOCATION: Some of the roads are very narrow leading to Timsbury Bottom so if using a GPS system, be careful. Our GPS brought us in on some of the single country lanes. It's worth doing google maps investigating prior to arrival and plan your route. Debbie provided us with a very helpful local map once in Timsbury to help you... More
