The uncluttered village surrounds the imposing 500 year old Cotswold stone home of Giles and Stephanie whose hospitality and food was enhanced by a list of practical suggestions which meant we stayed three nights instead of two. Superb location, very picturesque village and Stephanie and Giles were excellent hosts. Breakfast absolutely spot on, rooms were immaculate, comfortable and quiet. Would definitely recommend and would love to return again - located nicely in between Bath and Longleat safari park, a great base for local exploring. more

Very charming house, reflecting tradition but expertly refurbished. Spacious room, tasteful decoration. The booking was made by my colleague in Britain and I stayed in The Plaine for 3 nights, each time after a tiring business-day. It was perfect for having a good rest.
