Cannot recommend this B&B highly enough, great location in a beautiful small village surrounded by traditional historic village pubs. Stephanie made us feel very welcome from the start, funny and kind yet appreciated our space. Breakfast was great and no issues with parking. We were attending a wedding at Wick Farm which was a 2 minute drive. Very happy guests... More

We enjoyed staying at the Plaine. The hosts are terrific and go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. Once you find it, it's easy to park. The pub with the longest running liquor license is across the street and has delicious food. The breakfast in the morning is well worth it. We spent a day at Stonehenge... More

We stayed at the Plaine Guesthouse for 2 days, 2 adults with one child. FIrst hand impression is very positive and the warm velcome and the atmosphaere is super, and it was the same during the whole stay. The rooms af comfortable and the beds are good. Breakfast is very good. Only downside is a little traffic noise during the... More

We wanted to stay in a small country town outside bath, and we stumble upon The Plaine in Norton st Phillip. It was extacty what we were after. Generally a sleepy little village, with two great pubs. Steph and Giles were very hospitable, welcoming and helpful during our stay. After staying in hostels previous to our stay at the Plaine... More

An excellent location for an excellent B&B. Stephanie was fantastic, particularly as we arrived very late having cycled 100 miles that day. Very clean with a fabulous breakfast. if you want dinner at either pub make sure you get there befor 9pm...we didn't ;(

I stayed at the Plaine with a large bridal party. We were very warmly welcomed and were given free run of the place to get ready for the wedding, as we were the only people staying there. Given how comfortable we were made to feel, it's difficult to criticise, but I feel there are a few areas for improvement to... More

After being let down by another property in the area at short notice, we were very lucky indeed to stumble across The Plaine! Stephanie and Giles were really helpful throughout and let us make use of the entire B and B for the weekend, including the kitchen and communal areas, for my hen do. The whole place was clean, tidy... More

Stopped enroute whilst cycling from Cornwall to The Midlands. Awesome stopover option - good, clean B&B - great breakfast, great host, and a great (if a bit overpriced) pub over the road for dinner! A brilliant place to stay - recommend to all looking for a quaint, relaxing break or stopover

We have enjoyed staying at the hotel, like going back home, with the front house key! Beautiful area, close to Bath, but with the benefits of the countryside. Lovely and relaxed, Giles was very welcoming and made us feel at home. There is a very Old Pub near by with a good restaurant, also near other villages like chipping Ham

Beautiful guest in a lovely village. You get a really friendly welcome on arrival, & Giles & Stephanie couldn't do enough for you. We stayed in the kingsize room and there was plenty of space with lovely views across to the George Pub, which did lovely meals, as did the Fleur de Lys. The room and shower where spotlessly clean.... More
