It is with some trepidation I post this review as, looking at previous reviews for this establishment it is obvious the owners do not take kindly to adverse comments, I am sure to receive a response which will attack my character, taste or behaviour, perhaps even all three. However after my experience this last weekend I am willing to take... More

Really welcoming. There were some quirky things such as a goat in reception, which we were okay with, but I imagine some may to exception to. Hotel rooms were clean and comfortable, but the hotel is located next to a busy road. Unfortunately there was a difference in opinion between the proprietor and another set of guests which was left... More

This delightful castle is situated on some acreage with one one around. Just beautiful! We spent 2 hours in the hot tub before having dinner . The hostess was very helpful , the meal la-a-cart. The room big and a bathroom big also. For one of our last nights in England this was just the best! no rush with dinner... More

We had a fantastic experience here having booked the whole hotel for the weekend as accommodation for our families at our wedding which was held at a local venue. We enjoyed a meal in the restaurant on the Friday night, at which the food was cooked and served very well indeed. Karen and the staff clearly paid attention to every... More

Truly a wonderful surprise, excellent experience, and the staff were genuinely friendly! The grounds were just as adorable as the castle itself highly recommend it! Fantastic hot tub, sauna, but the bamboo shower was freezing cold (ment to be) We have never ever slept in such a comfortable bed, truly, even the duvet "goose down". A thoroughly enjoyable experience

We and another couple spent two nights here in July. It is not an actual castle, but a gatehouse for a huge estate that was built to look much like one. There is an identical building on the other side of the estate that is used by a rugby club. :) The rooms are very nice and we even had... More

Our room was gorgeous, spacious and nicely furnished, the bed was one of the most comfortable I've slept in at a hotel. The ensuite shower room was in one of the turrets which was nice, the shower was very large and the water hot, but just a bit feeble. We had a large roof terrace, but it overlooked the road... More

This place is genuinely a little castle in the middle of nowhere between Bath and Warminster, so we used it between our afternoon in Bath and going to Longleat the next day. So beautiful with old furniture and furnishings throughout. The toilets are in the turrets! Our room was a gorgeous split level with a shower room in a turret,... More
