Bath Castle was simply one of the best experiences in the west country, it is a wonderful location steeped in history. We were very well received with a personal touch to rival many of the 5 star chains. The restaurant offered fantastic choice, and I recommend the fish of the day. Overall I would say you will not find a... More

My sister and I took our lovely Mum for lunch today for her birthday; we don't often have the opportunity to do so, and wanted something special. Well, we got it here at The Bath Lodge Castle. As we walked through the garden to the patio area, we were warmly greeted by Wayne, and seated at an outside table. There... More

We were a family of two adults and three children. Nice boutique hotel with only 11 rooms. Personal high quality service. The owner Karen is also the manager of the hotel and she is always there. The hotel staff try their best to keep customers happy. The rooms are clean and sheets are replaced on daily basis. We also tried... More

This review was posted by family from Jordan whose pater familias turned out to be well-educated and open-minded. He and his charming wife were possessed of an unusually informed and interesting take on the problems of the Middle East and other matters. Their three sons are as bright as buttons and brimful of curiosity about the world. It was both... More

On arrival we booked in and after a long journey had the afternoon cream tea, which was a lovely selection of scones and delicious cakes. The waiter Wayne, told us he would be finishing at 5.30pm and someone else would take over, that's when the good service stopped. We planned to eat in the restaurant both nights of our stay... More

Please picture the scene. A gentleman arrives with his wife. He is completely bald, has a long white beard, is covered head to toe in tattoos and has what is nowadays described as attitude. During their stay his wife spent much of the time walking literally 3 paces behind him and apologising to us behind his back for his ride... More

Having driven by this elegant Castle or roadside lodge for many years we decided to call in for a meal. The owner welcomed us, provided drinks and took our order. He chatted about the history of the castle and her life overseas where she ran a cookery school. Hence the reason for the excellent choice of well prepared food in... More

We stayed in the Leeds/Edinburgh Suite for 2 nights. It was a perfect accommodation for our family of 4 - very comfortable, with the kids having a separate room (although there was only one bathroom, so the kids had to come through our room for that). I kept finding little things that in my mind I was going to "ding"... More

Booked to stay here on 8 August 2014 to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. It was the right decision. It has been lovingly restored and converted to a really nice hotel. We had the Stirling room which is on the first floor with it's own balcony. The Bathroom was fantastic with a wet room shower in the tower and a... More
