We stayed at Bath Lodge Castle for two nights at the beginning of October and had a fantastic weekend. My only negative would be having to leave! I booked directly with the venue, and Wayne, the manager, couldn't have been more helpful over the phone. He was there to greet us when we booked in and seemed to be on... More

A truly stunning building, with all of the original features blended into a luxurious hotel. The location is brilliant, just 15min from Bath city centre, but out in the countryside amongst the rolling hills, ideal for those country walks. All of the rooms share some of the character connected to the old gatehouse lodge. Tall people beware! Superb accommodation and... More

We had a family doo at the Castle Hotel, which I thought would be an average B&B. I was quite wrong. The hotel is magnificent with original and tasteful features. The rooms were luxurious and utterly comfortable with sumptuous beds and lovely bathrooms. Karen, the hotel owner was warm and helpful, making us feel both comfortable and welcome. Staying in... This is a small "castle boutique hotel". Each room is impeccably and comfortably decorated. The rooms are all different but building on a similar theme of tasteful luxury - and this is continued into the public rooms. Rooms are made up early each day so no coming back into an unmade up room. The food is excellent and it's cooking... More

From beginning to end Karen looked after our whole party that booked out the entire hotel. By the end I felt like she was one of us! Rooms are beautiful, and service brilliant. The only thing id suggest is maybe getting some local beer or ale behind the bar. Definitely would return and recommend.

From the second we pulled on the car park, we were in love. It's a gorgeous building and our room (the Windsor) had an amazing terrace with turrets. The staff are really friendly and welcoming, going above and beyond to help us- printing emails and organising taxis. The grounds are lovely to walk around, the woods and stream are so... More

We stayed at Bath Lodge Castle to celebrate a special Birthday and from the minute we arrived we were very warmly welcomed. Our room was beautifully clean, spacious and the bathroom quirky and fun! The outside terrace area was large but could have more furniture and plants to cheer it up a little. The food was exemplary, cooked by one... More

Bath Lodge Castle is one of the finest examples of the numerous castle lodgings England has to offer. The rooms all have the original stone walls, and are very comfortable and clean. If you're looking for a castle to stay in, I would recommend this place without hesitation. The breakfast is served overlooking the gardens, and was delicious. We will... More

It is with some trepidation I post this review as, looking at previous reviews for this establishment it is obvious the owners do not take kindly to adverse comments, I am sure to receive a response which will attack my character, taste or behaviour, perhaps even all three. However after my experience this last weekend I am willing to take... More

Tripadvisor is a marvellous democratic forum for travellers, for the benefit both of fellow travellers and of hoteliers, the former able to learn from the experience of others and the latter given the opportunity to improve their services. But - and in life there is always a but - this presupposes that reviews are honest. And sometimes, unfortunately, they are... More

Really welcoming. There were some quirky things such as a goat in reception, which we were okay with, but I imagine some may to exception to. Hotel rooms were clean and comfortable, but the hotel is located next to a busy road. Unfortunately there was a difference in opinion between the proprietor and another set of guests which was left... More
