Seems like every June, a parent stays at this property to collect a student from Kansai Gaidai University. I did, and found the property in excellent shape. I was impressed with the staff, even before arrival. The reservations website had required me to change room types for my three night stay. However, the staff reviewed the reservation, without prompting, and... More

Spent a night here to be close to Kansai Gaidai University. Room was usual size for Japan, but will be viewed as small by American standards. Bathroom was very nice. Easy access to the University, just take the number 12 bus from the station. Breakfast was only 5 dollars to add on. It provided a mix of American and Japanese... More

Stayed 4 nights while helping daughter pack up/move out of kansai gaidai university. Single room was small but very comfortable, no complaints about bed or bath. Definitely opt for the $5 breakfast at check-in, it was a good deal with juice, coffee, tea, salad, fruit, bread, eggs, and meat, and much cheaper than just getting coffee at starbucks! Across from... More

Very nice small in Hirakata. The hotel was very clean and quiet. The staff was very helpful and spoke English very well. Stayed here while visiting my daughter who attends Kansai Gaidai Int'l Univ. There are lots of great restaurants very close to hotel. Check-in and check-out was very quick and easy. You must again leave your key at the... More

Stayed 6 nights at the only hotel in Hirakata while visiting my daughter who is at the Kansai Gaidai International University. Location was great for sight seeing since it was only two blocks from the train station. (The number 12 bus went to the school from the train station.) The room was smaller than what we expect in the US... More

My spouse and myself along with our 20 yr. old son stayed at this hotel in late May '09. We were there to see our daughter who was studying abroad at Kansai Ghadai. I don't know if this is the only hotel in Hirakata City but we could not seem to find any other hotel close to the college and... More

The Hotel The Hirakata Sunplaza Hotel, in Hirakata (approximately midway between Osaka and Kyoto) Japan, is a "business" hotel, targeted at businessmen. It lacks the frills of an upscale tourist hotel - it has an attached coffee shop (Sola) and a Japanese restaurant (Tsukihi), but doesn't have a pool, or sauna, or conference rooms, ballrooms, etc. There is a stand-up...
