Pros: -The rooms are large and have nice bright sea views (we were very lucky to have been upgraded to a corner suite with a jacuzzi and sauna!). -Rooms equipped with modern facilities -Efficient and quick front desk staff -Perfect location if you are interested in Ando Tadao architecture. Maybe go in Spring when the flowers are in full bloom... More

We had not planned on visiting Awaji Island, but circumstances dictated otherwise and we put in on our trip. It was not a wasted side trip. The commute from Osaka to Yumebutai in Awaji was easy and they have the instructions on where and how to take the bus from Maiko JR station on the English website. The main attraction... More

Big rooms, beautiful gardens (indoor and outdoors), by the sea and quiet. I can imagine myself staying at Westin Awaji again if I am ever in Kobe (yes I will make that 30 mins journey from Kobe's downtown to be here!) Hotel standard is what you will expect from spg related names - excellent. Staff speaks decent English. Hotel dinner... More

I stayed there a short week for a conference happening in the hotel. The staff is helpful and spoke well English. The room are large, they include a balcony, they are well soundproofed and the bed is comfortable. The breakfast is excellent with a large amount of choice including Japanese and western food. The hotel has a sport center including... More

The hotel, and the Yumebutai site around it, is truly a hidden paradise, with mild weather and heavenly gardens and views. My hotel room at the 7th floor overlooks both green covered mountains and calm inland sea. The service of the hotel is top notch. Although the rooms don't have wifi, especially the higher floors, and only have data points;... More

So who knew to stop off for a night driving from Osaka to Shikoku? But this place was amazing. Rooms were big and very colorful. But the main attraction here is the garden. The greenhouse is great but the external garden is amazing! My 96 year old grandfather was snapping pictures with his phone! Breakfast is good, with local fare,... More

Hotel was selected by my relatives for its calm elegance and proximity to the Tadao Ando flower park. It is as good or better than other Westin properties. Nice Japanese touches: complimentary toothbrushes, razors, hairbrushes, slippers and spotless pajamas. The shower/tub was also Japanese standard and Ofuro style. Nice selection of teas and coffees and free bottled water. Clearly there... More

The hotel and neighboring Yumebutai Conference centre were designed by the famous architect Tadao Ando. http://www.yumebutai.org/english/yumebutai/yumebutai.html There are some great areas to walk with beautiful gardens and architecture that I highly recommend. Large room had a great view and great service Cons: 1. location is a pain. If you drive you have to pay about a $25-30 dollar toll from... More

The Westin is part of a large complex with conference center and flower park, build by star architect Tadao Ando as a stimulus for the area after the 1995 earthquake. It also served as the base of the british soccer team during the 2022 World cup and is still proudly displaying jerseys with David Beckham's signiture. Rooms, service, cleanliness, etc.... More
