The owner of this Ryokan is a kind and funny man who can speak English well. We enjoyed the hospitality with a great breakfast served in our room in the morning. Our host dressed us properly in our Yukata and wooden sandals and gave us free passes to the seven Onsens in the small town of Kinosaki. This was a... More

Six of us spent one night here in three rooms in March to get a real taste of Japanese living and it was a great experience. From the moment we arrived the owner and his staff looked after us and we were welcomed with a Union Jack! The owner speaks excellent English and explained about wearing the yakutas and slippers... Kinosaki is a bit off-the-beaten track for Western tourists: we saw maybe a dozen during our whole stay, but it is very popular with the Japanese. Its main selling points are the seven spa baths all within walking distance of each other on the main drag through the town. Visitors don yukata (a type of dressing gown) and geta (wooden... More

It's taken me awhile to write reviews on my Japan trip but Kinosaki has to be the highlight of our 2 weeks Japan rendezvous. This is an amazing and charming onsen town if you want to experience something truly Japanese. To start with the streets are lined with pretty little shops (especially if you get off the main street) and... More

Spend the night in this ryokan was an excellent experience; we dedicated only one day of our vacation in Kinosaki so the B&B formula offered was perfect and this choiche was a good value; traditional breakfast was excellent and the room was clean; even if not in the center of Kinosaki, the position is really good, no more than 15... This ryokan exceeded expectations in all ways. We were welcomed with the display of our national flag. The room we were given was big, clean, traditional, pretty view from our window. We were given free tickets to all the public onsen in town (there are 7.) We were shown how to properly wear the robes. We were given umbrellas and... More
