This is the best B&B we have stayed at in Ireland and we have travelled country wide. Iris is a fabulous hostess, very easy to chat to and has lots of great recommendations for days out in the county. The rooms are large, clean and beautifully furnished and unlike many B&Bs in Ireland she supplies all travelling necessities eg shampoo.... more

My parents and I stayed here and we absolutely loved it. First, Iris is such a great hostess. She is the sweetest women and she was great to talk to, gave us good recommendations (where to go, eat, etc.), and an awesome cook. The rooms are all clean and spacious. It is walking distance to pubs and restaurants. The restaurant... more

My husband and I and our 3 month old son stayed here for 5 nights. Iris is most welcoming and everything was wonderful. From the extremely comfortable beds (including great travel cot) to the wide range of tasty breakfast options. It was a pleasure staying at Birchwood House. We will be back! Thank you Iris. This was a lovely property in rural Ireland in a small village next to some of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen. The house is modern and filled with Iris's lovely paintings. Her pancakes are to die for. Room 2 was clean but a little smaller than usual. The location was good and there was a very relaxed... more

We had a most enjoyable stay for 2 nights in Birchwood House B&B . We were looked after with great attention by proprietor's Iris and Ron . The accomodation is second to none that we have stayed at and we have travelled all over the world. The food was excellent as were rooms. Very family friendly. Will definitely be staying... more

June 6th 2008 What can I say other than if you are intending to stay in County Wexford, you really must stay at Birchwood House, with your hostess Iris Sothern. From the welcome we received to the comfort of our room to the excellent breakfast, the list goes on and on. more

This is definitely one of the best B&B accommodations at which I have had the pleasure of staying. We stayed two nights and the proprietor, Iris, couldn't have been more welcoming; upon arrival, we were offered a plate of sandwiches and tea, and this was close to midnight! The rooms are bright comfortable and spotless. The breakfasts are second to... more

We spent one night at the Birchwood House B&B and were very impressed. It is located in Castlebridge, about a 5 min drive from Wexford and 25min drive from Rosslare ferry port. We are two adults and two older children and had connecting rooms with a shower and toilet between them. The rooms seemed very new and were clean, well... more
