I booked this hotel as was wanting to stay over for one night whilst up visiting attractions in Manchester. I found most hotels in Manchester to be exceptionally over priced for just one night. So when I saw this hotel not far away from Manchester city centre at a reasonable price I was willing to pay, I booked two rooms... More

The machine failed and the poor English of the reception staff said to do again. I have paid twice and my friends again yet they are disputing the... More

It's not glamorous or 5 star but it's warm, affordable, tidy, has good and safe parking, cheap bar, comfy rooms and huge, delicious breakfast. So much choice in restaurant. We stay over here before football games. Staff were friendly and happy to help. Will be back.

Stayed there on 28/02/15-01/03/15. Booked 2 rooms on the internet one sleeping 2 and One sleeping 3 which we paid on arrival. Went to the rooms (which were miles apart and didn't have enough towels and had to share) one slept 5 and one slept 3. As there were 5 we asked to just pay the price of the 5... More

Worst hotel in Trafford area. Dark, dingy. Dirty rooms. Rude staff. Has some moody looking people always hanging around in reception. Breakfast was disgusting. Staff not very efficient. Dining area overcooked and service terrible.

A group of males come to manchester every year but this year could not get our usual hotel. We booked the Amblehurst despite poor reviews as it was a good price and a handy location. We did not have any problems all weekend and found the hotel to be clean and comfortable. I am not sure why the other travellers... More

Going to family party so only wanted a bed for the night thought that it cannot be that bad. Please take note of the reviews. Get to hotel and go to room, there are a pair of socks under the chair, sink in bathroom cracked and shower head fixed to wall with duck tape. Got back to room about 11:30pm... More

When checking in they insisted on taking my bank card details. I asked why, the reply "incase you trash the room". Terrible experience. Is that normal practice? They could buy anything with my card. DON'T STAY HERE. AVOID AT ALL COSTS
