Although the hotel was very busy when we checked in while they had a wedding on, the welcome from staff was very warm and friendly and they were very helpful throughout. The room was comfortable, with lovely decor and large bathroom. The building does have lots of sets of stairs, so probably not very suitable if you have walking difficulties... More

Arrived at the Belmore for a birthday party ,On the table were very salty snacks which clearly is to encourage you to be thirsty and drink more A bottle of Periini Lager was £4.15 per bottle ....Now thats overpriced and a total rip off The buffet consited of cold bacon sandwiches and cold sausage sandwiches The room was small and... Very very disappointed in the belmore hotel. This use to be a great hotel but now very average and very under staffed. Lady behind reception is not much help only interested in payments. Food was late out and no one informed the guests it had arrived as it was in a different room. No signage to the room, no interaction... More

The pub itself is lovely looking, has a relaxing atmosphere and clean. We went for dinner and the food was not good at all. Toasties were just under £7 (stated served with fries and coleslaw that sounded nice) toasties came, awful presentation, tiny pot of fries with a tablespoon of coleslaw slopped on. The 'superfood' salad came completely dry with... More

Had a fab breakfast here on New Years Day a brilliant way to start the New Year surrounded by my family. The surroundings, food and service were excellent, the staff couldn't do enough for us. Constantly refilling the breakfast table, ensuring or food was piping hot, hot drinks galore (much needed after the night before) a really enjoyable experience. Thank... More

This being a local watering hole - Fed up with being passed my drinks by the top of the glass! even had one of the staff wipe the beer up the side of my glass with their bare hand - really! Having been in the pub trade these are absolute no-no basics please Some staff walk around with what seems... More

Chose this hotel to be near family in Sale Moor. Booked through an agent (Booking.Com). Slightly difficult in the dark to make out the correct entrance (the bar entrance is better lit) but bar staff directed us to reception only for us to find it not manned and a direction back to the bar for enquiries! No matter, reception lady... More

If you want an excellent meal, nicely priced in quaint, old English surroundings, this restaurant is the place. Fried haddock was top notch and a fine selection of beverages was most satisfying! We are Americans visiting our son, who had the lamb and was also most satisfied.

Spent two nights here in early December whilst visiting family in the area. I would describe it more as a pub with rooms rather than a hotel. The rooms were tastefully decorated in a boutique style which in some ways is what you are paying for really. We paid £180 for two nights with breakfast which I consider expensive considering... We had the Frederick's suite which I couldn't fault even at £130 as I've stayed at worse for that money. Not sure what the other non suite rooms are like but caught a brief glimpse at room No1 and that looked nice. Food was typical pub grub with steaks on the menu as well as more economical meals. Wifi was... More
