Lovely place and the staff could not do more for you. The staff make the place what it is, the breakfast is lovely, the rooms are beautiful in there own right and the place is very clean. The only down sides are the lack of parking this was a big issue as there are a lot of rooms and only... More

We parked the car at the back of the hotel - there is plenty of free parking, and a lovely garden to the rear, in addition to the spaces at the front. Staff pleasant and friendly. Also helpful, when we discovered we had no towels, they apologised and explained that a dryer had broken down, and the towels were almost... More

The hotel is situated in a leafy suburb just outside Sale. It seems to have been refurbished, extended and decorated in the 80s, so it all seems to be in need now of being updated. Nonetheless the room was spotlessly clean. The room was mainly heated with a small plug in oil radiator, which I thought would leave it cold,... More

I use many hotels on a one night basis and this hotel suited me. This is a adapted Victorian house with a connected annex to the rear (probably 1980s) where my room was. The room had some dated elements such as doors, curtains and windows etc but some obvious recent renovation bathroom being the most noticeable. Plenty of tea makings... More

This hotel was a bit quirky, with long corridors leading to our very nice room. However, the central heating was not working so there was an oil-filled radiator to warm the room - this was completely adequate. I would have liked porridge for my breakfast but that was not on the menu, so I had to have a wheat-based cereal... More

Thank you for your comments, all points have been noted and dealt with. Porridge is available on request and we have since put a sign in the restaurant at breakfast to that effect. We do apologise for the lack of butternut squash, all our ingredients are fresh and unfortunately we were in the process of changing some of the menu... More

We used the Normanhurst to stay in whilst visiting family. The room was a great family sized room with everything you would need. (From kettle to ironing board and iron). Breakfast was included in the cost and was definitely great value. Full English buffet, and cereals. Very friendly staff also. We will be staying again. 10/10

I do not advise anyone to eat in this restaurant. The food is very poor quality and badly cooked. I could not even deem it a one rating so rated it as zero although had to select one to have the review accepted

Dear trip advisor reader, I must admit that this review has taken everyone at the hotel by surprise.and left us baffled. The hotel restaurant is very popular with both residents and local guests many of whom dine with us frequently. All our food is fresh, of the highest quality. and prepared by our team of highly qualified chefs. We are... More

I stayed here for a week while working in the area, the hotel was nice and clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. There was a lovely cooked breakfast every morning to set me up for the day. All in all I would recommend this hotel for a short break and to contractors working in the area.

From the front of the hotel it looks very inviting, lovely setting in well maintained gardens. Inside the reception lovely period features and you can see this area was well cared for. The bar, although was small was well stocked. Food was available in both the Bar/Conservatory and Restaurant. We dined in the conservatory, food was homecooked and nice. Breakfast... More
