Very friendly, clean and great shower. Bed was comfy and staff I met were polite and informative. I would recommend this to anyone visiting the area, and it looks really nice from the outside too. Great value at £50 for a double. And very close to the motorway but in a leafy avenue

Stayed for 5 nights while working at Tatton Park. Hotel in lovely area, set in own gardens. Extremely welcoming, friendly helpful staff, who 'went the extra mile' to make my stay great, especially when I arrived back cold and tired! Had some excellent meals. Very comfortable bed, ensuite fine. Easy to get into Manchester

This hotel seems very relaxed with staff being friendly on arrival and departure. My room was pleasant enough but a little dated. The bed however was comfortable and I did have a good nights sleep. The ensuite was very small and cramped but again it was fine for 1 night. Apart from other guests blaming doors late at night and... More

Third time we have stayed here. Small but clean and comfortable room. Pleasant staff in both reception and restaurant. Buffet breakfast nice but preferred the waiter service on previous stays. Good value for money will stay again and can recommend.

We stayed overnight for a family event taking place nearby. The hotel was rather tired and needs some air freshners. We upgraded to a "superior" room which only seemed to mean that it was a larger room. The room was rather basic and again quite tired. There was very little attention to detail for example there was water in the... More

We stayed here while visiting family in Manchester area. Made welcome from the time we arrived. Receptionist was helpful as I had booked a twin room as it was the only room available at the time of booking but she managed to change us to a double room. When we got to the room we found the toilet cistern was... More

Sunday lunch menu, pate was not particularly nice, was served with a very odd coulis? Made the toast soggy. The roast lamb was lovely and served with all the trimmings which were tasty and well seasoned. Dessert was very nice, lots of choice and the coffee and walnut cake was moist and flavoursome. Service was good on the whole, the... More

My daughter and I stayed for one night as we were attending a family event nearby. Lovely traditional building with character and very attractive well kept gardens. The room was on the small side but fine for our needs. Nice view of the gardens, very comfortable bed and good shower. Good quick links to Manchester via the tram. Breakfast was... More

Stayed here for 1 night only, all staff were very pleasant, leather seated bar area & conservatory which overlooks a nice garden which has tables & chairs, our room was very basic, clean & tidy but ample for our needs, bed was comfy, had tea & coffee facilities hidden in the cupboard, tv is old & cheap as can't see...
