We stayed at this hotel during a trip around Japan and would not return. First impressions were ok but the room that we had was not great. I appreciate that this is a traditional style hotel but even still for the price it was very basic. We ate at the hotel on the first night. The private dining room was... More

Even arriving at this place was an experience: the ferry ride across from across from Miyajimaguchi gave us our first glimpse of the red Torii gate set against the mountainous terrain of the island and friendly deer greeted the ferry on its arrival. The ryokan itself was quite difficult to find - we followed our map as best we could,... More

This is a very easy place to stay if you do not know any Japanese, most people speak English. We got some of the best service here, we had to leave before breakfast on our last day to catch a train and two seperate waiting staff bought us breakfast to take with us to make sure we got food, this... This was our first experience of staying in a Ryokan. We were in a 14 person tour party and stayed for 2 nights. Our room was lovely, with a great view across the bay and of the torii gate. The baths were a real highlight. The outdoor ones have a great view across the bay - make sure you check... More

The location was quite hard to find, but if you follow the map that you find at the port then is fine. The entrance and the lobby (see the picture) is amazing! They serve a quite good yuzu tea. My room had an ocean view and it was also clean and tidy and also had a good smell. I didn't... More

If you thought you have found a traditional ryokan, you will soon discover that this is only an ordinary hotel that they try to disguise as a ryokan Plus that the hotel is highly overpriced. I have stayed at many true ryokans during my several visits to Japan and this is the first time I got disappointed. Even the traditional... More

We stayed in this hotel/ryokan for one night. The service was excelente, the food too, the onsen was great... what else can I say? Maybe it was a little too expensive, but well. We had a japanese style room with ocean views. We could see the gate from our room but we thought the view would be a bit... clearer?... More

This is one of the more expensive Ryokans in Miyajima but we didn't think it was worth the 46000 yen we paid. Because we were western we didn't get the same dinner or breakfast as the other guests which we wern't very happy about at least they should have asked us if we wanted something else or not. For dinner... More
