This ryokan was absolutely amazing and the best place we stayed in during our trip to Japan. The location is delightful, in the middle of the woods, next to a cascade and a river, so you can hear the frogs at the nighttime and during the day you can see the fish in those cristal waters... We were picked up... More

This is a small ryokan hidden in the woods. Rooms are traditional. I am writing this while sitting in the room overlooking the koi pond and gazing out into the forest. It's a short walk into town through some forest. Miyajima can get mad with tourists and this is a haven of peace. The breakfast is included and is good.... More

Tucked away in the woods but close to the streets and sights of Miyajima you can find this friendly ryokan. Perhaps find is not the right word as you could walk past it on your way to the cable car and only think that it was a lunch place. Fortunately the owner will pick you up from the ferry. The... After reading multiple reviews on this place, my partner and I decided to try this place out for an overnight stay during the end of August/beg September 2013. The location is great (close to amazing hiking paths), the food is very good but a tad expensive (remember, dinner is NOT included in the nightly fee and you need to request... More

This is a very basic ryokan but with delicious food and a spectacular location. We struggled to get the room to warm up and the shared baths were spartan. Also, the bath was so hot that we couldn't go in - the only place this happened to us in Japan. The owners were extremely friendly and were very attentive to... More

We stayed here for 1 night following a day trip in Hiroshima. We had been to a number of ryokans during our two week stay in japan and this was one of our favourites. I think it's in one of the best locations in miyajima, hidden away from the main tourist strip and located in a nice location in the... More

Gosh, we loved this little place! It was kind of an adventure, to be sure, but I had a great time. We came here from Hiroshima, using the JR train to Miyajimaguchi then transferring to the JR run boat (JR pass will cover your trip on the ferry though it's pretty cheap otherwise as well). We were told to call... More

Very nice traditional japanese hotel with an excellent service. Room was spacious, very clean and japanese style with traditional clothing. A bit off from the "city" but very nicely located in a park. The place is operated by a young couple, that is very friendly. When it became clear, that we couldn't eat breakfast because we would miss our train,... More

After a comfortable trip on the bullet train and a short ferry ride, we arrived on Miyajima. The hotel sent a car to collect us at the ferry terminal. After settling in and stowing our luggage, we had a short walk back to the center of the town for exploring. The deer wandering around town were an interesting part of... More

This ryokan may not look like much from the outside - the cafe out front was covered up in tarpaulin - but the rooms are modern, clean and delightful and the food was the best we had in Japan. Dinner was a mixture of fresh seafood and meat, all stunningly presented, and breakfast was a mix of western and Japanese.... More
