We stayed here for one night and this has been one of the best memories of our trip to Japan. The hospitality was outstanding. The inn is just beautiful with a lot of charm. Our room was very spacious for the five of us. The traditional bathroom was so enjoyable. But the best was the food. The dinner was simply... More

My wife and me spent a great time in this hotel, the food is superb. The person who receive us was so friendly and help us to sightseeing in Mijajima. I highly recommend this hotel. I recommend to go in October the weather is so nice.

Stayed for 1 night in May 2015 for our honeymoon in the Momiji room. Family run inn for 4 generations! It only has 3 rooms so it is intimate and not full of people moving in and out. The room is comfortable and has a great view over the garden and pond, and the river further down. It is a... More

I saw this inn when looking for accommodation in Hiroshima and had already emailed the owners when I realized it was not actually in Hiroshima. It decided so good that we changed our plans and booked two nights at this inn. Good move on both counts - it was very easy to travel to Miyajima and both experiences were highlights... More

We called the ryokan and the very friendly owner came and picked us up. We were too early to enter our room but he took up our luggage to our room and his wife came to greet us and check-us in. We were served water, matcha tea and momiji manju. She asked us about your dinner and breakfast time preferences... More

Stayed as a couple for two nights in September 2015. The owner drove down to the ferry station in MIyajima and picked us up, which was great because we'd been travelling from Tokyo all day. Dinner and breakfast are included. You get a gourmet seven-course experience for dinner and a choice of a western or Japanese breakfast each day. Each... More

We have travelled around the world and stayed in many locations across Japan and it is fair to say that the Watanabe Inn is simply the best ryokan we have ever stayed in. The owners are friendly and extremely helpful, offering any amount of assistance to enhance your stay, the accommodation is first class with beautiful rooms and the service... More

We stayed as a couple for 2 nights in July 2015. This was the ultimate stay for us on our trip and perhaps any trip we have been on in our lives. In staying here we hit (and possibly broke through) the heights of hospitality, food, comfort and relaxation. The rooms are a work of art in themselves. We stayed... More

I have stayed at this Ryokan several times now and the friendliness, service and hospitality of this family run business is what keeps bringing me back for more. Breakfast and dinner has been included in my stay each time and the meals are explained in English. These wonderful people can not do enough to help you to make your stay... More

We have always wanted to visit Japan and wanted to experience a true Japanese cultural experience. We found it all at Watanabe Inn. When we booked this accommodation the owner kindly emailed us asking about our dietary requirements for our stay, we were also advised that when we arrived at the ferry terminal at Miyajima to call the Inn from...
