we have been there in our honeymoon and everything was just perfect. beautiful rooms with the real Japanese atmosphere and charm. It really makes you feel like being in a Japanese house back in the 18th century but with all the modern days facilities. Absolutely worth it. arigato!

Wonderful place to stay with great traditional food and kind owners. We had wonderful fish head as part of an eight part meal. Walkway up mountain is across the street! Room was large and traditional Japanese. After a day of hiking in the heat the owner drove us to Tutu Igarashi Park to swim! Kind and gracious. The Japanese breakfast... More

Yes, well we read all the reviews and thought. we will give ourselves a treat. A bit expensive but worth it. We stayed at 8 different Ryokans on our 35 day holiday in Japan and this was one of the best. The service and food was worth every yen, delightful hosts and to top it off the locality was superb. Thanks to trip advisor reviews we decided to overnight on Miyajima and stay at the wonderful Watanabe Inn. This was the only ryokan stay of our first ever visit to Japan and proved to be one of the highlights of our holiday. To truly appreciate the beauty of Miyajima you really must stay overnight - once the crowds have left... More

We had one night here but wish we had stayed longer! We had a very large room (16 tatami mats) that had windows on two sides as well as a balcony and enormous bathroom with yellow cypress tub. So comfortable. It was fun after baths and dinner to stroll the darkened streets in our yucatas and take in the floating... More

My wife, I and a good friend stayed at this ryokan on Myajima Island one night. We were picked up at the ferry terminal , and provided with a traditional green tea prior to registering. We had two rooms with a toilet and a separate private Japanese bath. We visited the Daishoin Temple (next door) and took the rope car... More

An exceptionally friendly and helpful family run traditional Japanese Inn. Large room, with great outlook over the small garden and koi pool. Ensuite traditional wooden tub/onsen, to soak the cares of the day away! Excellent tasty traditional food and outstanding service from our hosts. With a great position by the Daishoin Temple, it was faultless in every way. Miyajima was... More

This is a traditional ryokan. The owner collected us from the ferry port. The ryokan seems to be more modern compares to the last one we stayed. The owner is extremely helpful and polite. The service standard and the quality of food is excellent. On the last day he even dropped us back to the ferry port without charge. (this... More

Two friends and I stayed here for one night and enjoyed every minute of it. Our host met us at the pier and despite being early for check in, we were greeted warmly and offered cold tea as we relaxed before heading out for the day. On return after many hours of sightseeing we were offered macha and the local... More

Absolutely LOVED staying here. We went a bit off season - in February. It actually snowed on the day we were here. We stayed one night in this little, magical, authentic, snow covered inn. The service was delightfully attentive and kind - this is a family run business that really cares about you but also leaves you your space. The... More
